“It's a nice small place, perfect for family and friends. The food is excellent and the people who work there always make you feel at home! There are unbeatable prices, especially for the amount of food that you receive! They have many different home cooked specials that keep me coming back all the time. It's a place that you must return to over and over!”

• Portions vary in size from time to time; salads are not good.

“Viva Maria has a relatively small menu in my opinion, compared to other Mexican restaurants I have been to. However, what they have is very good. The food is not overly dressed up, but tastes good. Typical enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, etc. The fajitas I get often. There is not as much meat as I would like, and sometimes there seems to be just barely enough. But the flavor is very good. Not overdone spicy, but a decent flavor. The beans and rice are very good, and I consider that to be a key factor at any Mexican restaurant. I once had the Jambalaya, and it was not good at all. Skip that and stick to the more traditional dishes. Also, the green salads are never good to me. My wife gets them, but I don't. They look like they come out of a bag, and are never fresh looking to me. The atmosphere is good for couples and even families-semi romantic if you are looking for a nice place, but not always very quiet. There is a bar in the back, but I don't drink so I can't comment on that. Though it sounds like people enjoy it back there. Prices are average with a dinner for two with drinks and tip costing about $40. Service is always good. The parking is not great since it is located in a shopping center, but it's not terrible either. You may have to walk through the busy shopping center to get there. I kind of think of this as a little secret that not as many people know about as should.”
