- It was in Alpine.
- Nasty food.
“Vomited up better tasting food! How do you screw up a hamburger? Order one from the Mediterraneo. The floor was dirty. It wasn’t very busy and I waited 15 minutes for mustard. I will never go there again. I felt it was over rated.”

- I forgot the Name of our waitress but she is a pine valley resident and she was very customer service oriented. Awesome!
- That night, the corn fritters were a bit hard, but they tasted great.
“Ramon's is a great place to stop in for a great selection of fun bib foods. I love bib and have enjoyed most every establishment in san Diego county and Ramón¿s is right up there on the "a" list. Ramon's menu has a unique combination of sides that make the meal different from the other bib places around. You can get my favorite (mild) jalapeño corn fritters to pour some honey on and some great beans, pinto with a little Mexican taste. I enjoy the bib beef sandwich, the rolls are just right and the sauce (served on the side warmed) is excellent. The last time we were there, my wife asked to have the beef more shredded and I asked to have mine in slices. Both requests were honored with a smile. My experience has been good food with a lot of choices of sides. I would recommend it to any real bib expert.”

- The sauce is served warm in a bottle so you can add all you want or none at all if that¿s your preference.
- I always leave too full to enjoy more than 2 side dishes.
“Ramon's is a great place to go for barbeque in san Diego. After vacationing in "q country" (north Carolina), Ramón¿s is a close second in the Nation. The daily specials offer great ideas on where to start, but making up your mind on the many side dishes will be difficult. Take someone with you so you can order different sides and enjoy them all!”

- I didn't regurgitate this meal afterward.
- My coworker visited the bathroom 3 times following our meal here.
“How do you legitimately call this "smoke house bbq"? Whoever said "smoke" ought to take a good look at this restaurant. First of all, it ed. For the price I paid, for what I got, for what it is, it was absolutely awful. I and my co-worker went there because we were referred there by another. The place is not great-looking to begin with, but some places make up far more with their food. I ordered a "smoked" ham sandwich. Usually some places add a little of this or that to it. I was better off ordering something from a deli store. It was $8, but worth $1-2. The sandwich was the size of a dinner roll. The menu said all meat is smoked. Ahahaha that's laughable. Tasted. Ok, but it seems they grabbed some slabs of ham and threw it in the mike for 30 seconds and tossed it in bread. Brought out a Dixie cup of potato salad & beans. The beans had to be canned. Great. My partner ordered ribs. Well, they were burned. She needed a power-saw to cut them. They tasted (not smoked) like leftovers. They were probably overcooked and meant to be thrown out. But (stay low budget!) Threw them in the fridge and just miked them hot enough to serve. She had a couple bites and that was it. The green beans were canned. We looked around the restaurant for any signs of legitimacy. No smoker out back. Who smokes this stuff? Answer, it's not smoked. If they were, you'd not only smell it outside the restaurant, but inside as well. Bbb ought to take a good look at this place. It said "a" on the wall, but I think they deserve less than a c.”

- Food is always well prepared and appealing.
- Small indoor seating area can be crowded in bad weather!
“This is the ONLY good place to eat in Alpine, for my money! It is certainly the only place to have a lunch or dinner that you might also find in Hillcrest or downtown San Diego. Forgive them their lousy pronunciation of the Italian dishes and just enjoy the excellent preparations from a diverse and appealing menu.”
