• Food.
• Sometimes long waits.

“They are family friendly and I can't say how many times I have seen them support the members at our fair. Jocko's is always packed and sometimes the wait is long but it is worth the wait. I've waited in line for longer to go to a place with less quality food. The food is great and they give you a lot of it. It's on the higher side but compared to AJ Spurs it is the same. Jocko's bar is also a favorite. Bar tenders are friendly and its in a fun atmosphere.”

• The steaks are to die for. Literally, never had a better Rib Eye!
• I don't live close enough.

“When you are in the Santa Maria, Vandenberg AFB, Lompoc area, there simply is no better steak joint than Jocko's period! I have been to the Hitching Post and A.J. Spurs, and both failed miserably in comparison to Jocko's. I live without beef most of the time and the Little Spencer from Jocko's is simply beyond compare. The cut is thick, the marbling is outstanding (the rarer you go, the better the cut and marbling), it's cooked on a pit style grill outdoors over coals, and is absolutely perfectly seasoned. I don't live in the area, but whenever I am in the area I will be eating there. I have never had a steak that compares to those at Jocko's, and will always be faithful!”

• Delicious Steaks, friendly down to earth servers. Good prices.
• Waited to long for our meal. Not enough lighting in the restaurant.

“Our son from Oceano took us there for our anniversary, as we've all heard how great the steaks are. We had reservations for 5:45 pm, and they had a table ready within ten minutes. Best to get there before five, for after we were seated people were waiting for longer periods to be seated. The overall wait for our meal was around an hour. I can complain about how long it took to get our dinner, but it was well worth it! It was well worth it. Son ordered the fillet mignon and hubby and I had the Spencer steak, omg like butter. The steak was so tender, and it was delicious. Better than Mc Clintock's and Far Western, those are my two cents worth.”

“Best filet mignon Ive ever eaten! Every time we vista family in ca we visit jokes; our trip is not complete without eating here. The wait can be long if you don't have reservations. Staff is friendly and even if you choose to get the meal to go it's great!”
