- Nothing positive to say!
- Everything! Apalling.
“To be fair, Tofanelli's has supposedly changed hands and has new owners but I am skeptical of this in this town where new owners mean only the manager changes. This restaurant has the distinction of being the absolute worst restaurant experience of my entire life, and I am age 60, have eaten in restaurants around the world and in other restaurants in our area. It was by far the most insulting. My party of four - me, wife, my sister and mother walked out after being treated like dirt, ignored, insulted by a surly waitress and never receiving even a glass of water after 30 minutes. The owners, wait staff and cooks were all in some kind of major fight, and when we finally all got up and left, the cooks all hooted and laughed! We did nothing to deserve this. So I have no idea what the food is like, or who the new owner is or anything else. I will never set foot in this place again! I suggest you do not do so either, new management or not. I wrote to this place and they never responded in any way or offered the slightest apology or explanation. I hope they go out of business!”

- Wonderful energy.
- I can't live there.
“Go to Diego's Hungry because you will eat and drink a lot. Everything here is wonderful and plentiful too. The servings are enormous and they bring you as much of the yummy, warm bread rolls with garlic butter and dipping sauce as you ask for. This sounds strange but try their Ranch dressing mixed with their own house made Cilantro Lime dressing. It makes a fabulous dipping sauce for just about anything on the menu. (I am big on sauces and if you are too, you'll know what I am talking about) Thursdays are Taco Night and they are the best ever! The tortillas and even the tartar sauce is homemade. So fresh, they're amazing. The home made desserts are incredible and huge portioned. The tres leches and warm chocolate bread pudding are sublime flavor treats for your palate. The female owners here make you feel welcomed, warm and fuzzy and truly like an appreciated friend in their home. This feeling is infused in all the food served. Go and you'll fall for Diego's too.”

- Fabulous crust and flavorful sauce on pizzas.
- Lunch buffet is only M-F, not weekends.
“Absolutely the BEST pizza place in Grass Valley. Crusts of the pizza are consistently slightly crisp on the bottom while the remainder of the bread of the crust is soft and chewy. Staff is cheerful and helpful. Actually the best service of any restaurant I have been to in all of Grass Valley. If you come to the area, definitely check this place out. Located in the K-Mart shopping center.”
