- Very neat and clean.
- Service is very poor.
“Back home, Perko's family dining is great, the one in Sonara is the best due to fast servers and friendly staff, best home cooking. Food was over cooked. The guy who served us, spoke low, could not understand, I had to ask for a refill on soft drinks. I will not go back.”

- Good ice tea.
- Too much money for an ounce of crab.
“I ordered a crab Louie, my favorite salad. The crab portion was so small; I paid over $16 for about 1 oz. of crab. I asked the waitress if I could get a little more, she was told no by the cook. Very disappointed.”

- Comfortable, cool, local, reasonably priced.
- The raw food shop next door smells weird.
“Great place for coffee, espresso, baked goods, and cookies. Relax, use your lap top (free Wi-fi) sit out doors or in a cafe setting. Family owned, fresh -scratch baked cookies, yum! Oh and they ship too.”

“This Wizard of OZ themed little cubbyhole was the neatest surprise as we searched for lunch in Fort Bragg. We had the endogenous crab sandwich Absolutely excellent! ”

Mendo Bistro

- The actual chef/owner was very cordial, and he seemed to be host/wine corker/and he even bussed a table or two.
- Isn't clearly marked outside, so know the address before embarking. But once you've found it, you won't miss it again.
“Dined there Wed. 5/10/06 and that was so good that I went again on Friday 5/12/06. Wednesday I started out with the crab cakes. Very good, In fact it was better than what I had read in reviews you may think that the cabbage that comes with the cakes is just there for decoration but you must mix some in with each bite of your crab cake for maximum flavor to your palette. On Wednesday night I had the pork loin dinner with asparagus and these puffy potato's which were a delicacy! For desert, just a scoop of vanilla--plus they added a homemade gingerbread cookie! Friday I had the red snapper served whole! Very good, substituted the mashed, horseradish potato's and skipped the rice. Service both nights was excellent. The owner, Nicholas recognized me from the other night and immediately seated me at a nice table overlooking Main Street. The place overall had positive energy and a good vibe to it. Don't skip this establishment if you're ever in Fort Bragg. ”
