• Hours tend to change without notice.

“I went on recommendation from a friend. It was closed when I went by but I went the next day and had a nice country style breakfast. Good value and friendly folks. Very homey.”

“Let me just say that I went into Northwoods for lunch during my hour lunch break. I was very hungry and thirsty. And sadly, I left feeling like a second class citizen and unfortunately, I was still hungry and thirsty. The waitresses are incredibly rude. They neglect to refill your water glass, you have to ask and when you do they roll their eyes. They genuinely don't really care about your experience at the restaurant, it is evident in the way they speak to you and treat you. The food is so-so. Frankly, the service just ruins the whole experience so I can't give a true rating. The salad bar is good except for the fact that the plates are baby sized. You cannot get a decent salad on a dessert plate. It is a waste of money. Salad toppings are falling all over the place and you just want a nice hearty salad. They need bigger plates. Again, the service is beyond terrible. You have to wait for your check for about 15 minutes after they have cleared your plates. They do not stop by to check on you. Just bad service! Bad, bad, bad. .”

• The older woman who was cooking last time was having a bad day.

“We always stop here whenever we are in town to visit our relatives. The original owners have passed away, but the new owners are continuing in their tradition. The food is "comfort" and the waitresses are very friendly (think "Flo") and take excellent care of us. Our kids won't let us drive by without stopping for pancakes or burgers. It's a very homey, non-chain restaurant. We really like it.”

• Nice, small, first Mexican restaurant in town, family owned.
• Nothing negative.

“Nice place. Very nice workers. Authentic. Right next to the high way so really easy to get to. Best Mexican restaurant and the first to be in crescent city. Really worth a visit.”
