“I have been a regular of Cactus Grill for years now and I continue to enjoy all that this wonderful little restaurant offers. My favorite culinary journey begins with a cold Corona, chips, and salsa and ends with perhaps the finest of all Cactus burritos, the seafood burrito. No one who has ever tasted this treat will be the same again.”

- Atmosphere is great.
- Food is a little pricey.
“This has to be the best restaurant in Clearlake by far. As we were seating in a cozy booth, we got a warm bread roll, waters, and a relish tray with veggies and dip. The menu is extensive with lots of steak, seafood, salads, pastas and poultry dishes. I had the chicken cordon blue, which came with veggies, soup or salad, and choice of potato or rice for $17.95. The best cordon blue chicken I have ever had! Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside with oozy gooey cheese and plenty of ham. My husband had the fish and chips and he cleared his plate also.”

“There was this lady, she was wearing dark blue jack in the box shirt, black pants, and somebody called her AdrianNA She didn't say hi, she looked like she wasn't paying attention to me. I felt uncomfortable.”

- Best Food & service I've ever had .
- Needs more parking .
“Back in Dec. 2,004 I went to clear lake CA. for the 1st time since I was a small child. I enjoyed my stay there very much, but the best part of the trip was " Dinner @ Howard's Grotto " the parking lot & area was filled up but with a few trips around the restaurant I found a parking spot. When I entered the place was very busy but Howard himself took my order > Prime rib & lobster tail dinner. This prime rib was so juicy & flavorful it was melting in my mouth , But then I started on the lobster tail. I have had Maine lobster tail in the state of Maine itself but this lobster Howard's had was the ~ VERY BEST ~ I have ever tasted in my life, later this month 2 of us are going back to Clearlake & you can be sure that the only food we will be eating is Howard's Grotto Prime rib & Lobster tail, Just get there early or you will miss out . ”
