- Pizza is good.
- The managers should know if the adds in Newspapers pertain to their location!
“Went to AK Pizza Co in Wasilla on Friday 9/12, got 2 large Pepperoni carryout. At home, same day, saw an add-in and for a $2 rebate for the same order. Saved my receipt, went there on Friday 9/19 and asked about the add and discount, plus ordered again the same as previously. You have to ask for the special, I was told by the young girl. But the add doesn't say anything about asking and doesn't clearly show a cut-out coupon.”

- The carrot cake is the best.
- For Alaska, the salmon was only fair.
“My friend and I had an above average meal, salmon and steak. The meat was top quality, the salmon average. The prices are very high, but as long as the quality keeps up it isn't so bad. The service was slow, not sure why. The carrot cake is wonderful, comped by the waitress due to the slow service. We plan to go again for dessert and maybe special occasions.”

- They deliver until 11 PM.
- Slow delivery, wrong order.
“I ordered a pizza to be delivered. the delivery took very long, on top of it, the pizza I received was not the one I ordered. when I called, they said the cook was not in, and to "call back tomorrow" and they could re-make it then.”

- The import beer was the best thing all evening.
- Barely enough space to walk in, host/hostess placed as so too intrusive to diners.
“After living in Alaksa for over 10 years and hearing such wonderful things about this place, I decided to make it the pinnacle of the evening for my first wedding anniversary. I still wonder, did I end up in a paralell universe? I feel like I got hosed after reading everyone else's reviews. Nothing about this experience was good. It started with waiting to be seen and then escorted to the bar to wait. Once there we order very over priced drinks, but the cheapest on the menu. My husbands tasted like nothing, but did come with a cherry. My drink was o.k. but for the price, a fresh strawberry would have been nice, vs. a frozen one that resembled a blot clot in my drink, making it most unappealing. Next, we had the cajun mushroom, that touts it's spicey...not sure where the spice was. There was more deep fried batter than anything. Finally, after 1 hour and being bumped into by other patrons, our table was ready. But even though we only needed to walk only 15ft, we had to clear out tab of 18.00 for 2 drinks and 11.00 for mushrooms. Needless to say our table was right by the entrance where anyone else coming for a meal would have to loiter and as close to the mens room as you could get. We were greeted reasonably fast by our waitress. We both knew we wanted the "world famous pepper steak" so our order was easy, the only difference was the salad dressing. Salads arrived, nothing there except lettuce and dressing which they got wrong on my husbands. Dressing amount too much for amount of salad. She said a few times she'd be back with fresh pepper, but we ended up using the shaker from the table. The bread was cold and hard, we didn't eat it. It suposedly had cheese and jalapenos, but we didn't see any. Steak finally arrived. From the first bite we were repulsed. The steak was decent once you got past the fat, but gravy was putrid. Our potato had twice the amount of sour cream needed. We both love sour cream, but OMG! The atmosphere is horrible. Seems like most emphasis is on the wine cellar. There is a beatiful fire place that serves as a storage area rather then lend itself to some ambiance. We also got to listen to "poopie" stories most of our meal by a 8-9 yo boy. Nice. Maybe a "pricey" and promotedly upscale restaurant could cater a little more to the adults that frequent this playground called Girdwood and have a separate area for those with children much like bar is for adults. While some of this is the issue of the Double Musky and some is not, the fact remains on what should have been a romantic evening back at the B&B that we paid $200.00 for the night was wasted as we were both sick with horrible diahrea in the bathrooms. Try as I might I can not find one saving grace for this place. Oh, yeah..forgot the imported beers we ordered were awesome. In talking with some Girdwood locals were heard stories of the place having gone down hill in the last few years. A mention of "the son took over" was the promient reason for the decline. Skip it! Double Musky meal was $100.00 for two for two drinks, two beers and two steaks. I have had better steaks at Lone Star. I should also mention we have eaten all over the world, maybe some folks who haven't will continue to recommend this kibble, I for one can not. I truly would not have fed that steak to my dog. Avoid it. If you want to eat in Girdwood, you want quality food, serice and atmosphere, go to Seven Glacier Restaurant at Alyeska Resort. I recommend the Ahi, but that's another review.”

- I liked the "idea" behind what this place must have been like one day.
- I really did not like the closing of the bar tab before dinner. Two credit card charges is not necesary.
