- It's not too expensive.
- Rude manager, slow staff, average food.
“Staff is slow, the manager is rude and the food really isn't anything to write home about.”

- A particularly great place to eat if on a budget, real quality food.
- Too many people like the place so always very busy.
“This is a great place to eat particularly if you are craving for some Western food. Everything is served piping hot if its meant to be and always delicious and tasty. The restaurant is small but always busy which speaks for itself. Equally popular with Chinese, Portuguese and Westerns. The custard tarts are 'out of this world' and a mouthwatering experience. They are the only real custard tarts of Macau the rest are very 2nd rate look alike. A second cafe is soon to be opened across the road by the same owner by popular demand, no wonder. Don't miss this place off your itinerary. The choices are quite extensive too and you can even have the glass of beer or wine as well as a selection of teas, coffees, and cool drinks. Oh and don't forget the Yogurts and fruit cake, very yummy if not on a diet.”

- Good food, good service.
- Bad ambient.
“I had a night out in the Fernado's just a couple of days ago on the weekdays. It was a mid summer night in mid of June 2006, mosquito and moths were flying above my head while I was eating. I was told by my colleague that this is The place in Macau for dinning but I was utterly disappointed. Although the prices are fair it does not stand out from the average Portuguese restaurants found in Macau, e.g. the A Lorcha, The Military Club and the Pinnochio, etc. The owner of Fernando tried to create a countryside ambient but with all these insects hovering above your head, I don't know about you, I did not enjoy my meal. All I can say is that this restaurant is overrated and I have been to a lot better country style restaurant that end up paying less.”

- Atmosphere.
- A moth "hatch" occurred while we were dining - this is al fresco, so it wasn't pretty with thousands of moths invading the area!
“The atmosphere is everything - not to say the food is secondary, but with the island sea breeze wafting though the dining area, it's difficult to remember the meal itself. Lots of people, lots of wait staff, much to choose from on the menu. The dining area is well lit and large, meaning it's not well-suited for a quiet or romantic meal, rather for enjoying the total experience, including people watching.”

- The best place to get traditional portuguese Egg custards and the only freshly made sandwiches!
- It a little far out
“Lordstone's bakery is the only place to get the best traditional Egg Custards in Macau! not only that but they also the only place that does freshly made sandwiches which I know doesn't sound much but when you cant get a decent sandwich anywhere its a godsend. Likely the owner has 2 other cafe's in macau. one in the city centre which is near dd's the nightclub!”
