“Great nights out, the staff are funny and look like they are enjoying themselves as much as the customers and went in there two weekends on the run and there was no trouble. Here's to the next time I go to Liverpool.”

Pump House
Feb 19, 2008 by Jane from Cheshire
Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[2] • Service:[2] • Atmosphere:[2]

  • Location.
  • The whole experience.

“Quite busy. Numerous items on menu not available. When food did arrive some 50 minutes later, food was unimaginative and less than average. Part of the pub (top area) was sealed off so that customers could not access seating, many people came in and left the premises. Tables dirty, seemed to be insufficient staff who were trying hard but not competent to deal with the business. Quite sad really. This establishment is in a great location on The Albert Dock area but is a long way from realizing its sales potential. I would not revisit this pub. This establishment is a poor reflection of a facilities offered in a city celebrating Capital of Culture.”

Tavern Company (The)
Nov 20, 2007 by Sarah from Liverpool
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[7] • Service:[9] • Atmosphere:[7]

  • Food and service.
  • Should be able to book tables with smaller parties.

“Came here last Tuesday night for a meal for my friends 21st. Three of us in total. Our table was in a good location try to sit in one of the booths at the side if you can! Food was lovely, never had a bad meal at this restaurant. Best Mexican food in Liverpool. The portions are massive so, if getting a starter as well, its best to share. I would recommend the Enchiladas, Tacos and Chimichanga. Service was brilliant. No complaints; great restaurant and great night!”

24/7 Cafe
Sep 1, 2007 by Lesley from MOLD
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • Food / beer / ambience.
  • Not yet 24 hour opening!

“The "Rose and Crown" is a small, two-room, owner-run country pub situated in Graianrhyd, some six miles south of Mold. A warm welcome is always assured from the jovial owner / host, Rod McGregor. Not a pub to get dressed up to wear your best clobber! Much of the charm and ambience of this pub is owed to the locals and farmers, stopping off for a pint on the way home from work, etc. You won't be disappointed in either the range or quality of the beers on offer or the food! The "Rose and Crown" has won numerous awards (proudly displayed on the walls) from Camra. Similarly, try one of his Welsh beef steaks, or gammon, or some of the other imaginative home-made dishes, cooked to order and to perfection. He does a superb home-made steak and kidney pudding, complete with a crusty suet topping and loads of gravy. Full meals are served from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday evenings. Quite selfishly, (in my opinion), he does actually take Monday night off, so it's no use pleading for a super succulent steak then! He makes some superb baguettes for late lunchtime noshes, as well! Everything is made individually and the quality never waivers. Oh! And I haven't even got started on the curries yet! Highly recommended! The "Rose and Crown" at Graianrhyd, just off the A5104 Corwen road, signposted "Llanarmon Road." Well worth a diversion, even if you're on your way to Scotland!”
