• Decor, portion sizes.
• Service, food.

“This place looks classy from the outside, and the decor is reasonable inside too. But appearances can be deceptive and unfortunately both the food and the service were disappointing. This is Chinese food from 1980s Britain - soggy veg (if you can find any), neon sweet and sour, and everything bathed in gallons of soy sauce. Come on guys - you wouldn't eat this! The waiting staff were surly, and weren't even bothered enough to ask whether we enjoyed our meal. We won't be going back and ”

• Excellent food, service and family friendly.
• Smoking is allowed.

“My family have been going to the Al-Fresh for many years now and every time it lives up to our expectations. I have never tasted Korma like it and have tried a fair few! Children are made to feel welcome too and smaller portions are available. A lovely, friendly place to go and be guaranteed good food and service.”

• Great menu, high quality food, cheerful staff.
• Sit on benches, can be uncomfortable sometimes. They have chairs also.

“I went to eat at chez Jules during seven months and it's the best restaurant ever in Birmingham. There's a range of choice in each menu you choose. For lunch you have a menu at 6.90 pounds and you eat great food. For dinner you have an a la carte menu or before 7.30 pm a two course set dinner for 9.90 pounds only. The atmosphere is very warm and the staff very well trained and cheerful. Most of them are French which gives even more tradition to this restaurant and this cuisine.”
