• The staff was excellent in anticipating needs and service.
• It was a unique experience to not have any unpleasantness.

“The staff was very accommodating. My travel partner and guests were also very well taken care of. Answers to questions were given promptly. Oh did I forget to mention the room was like new. The beds were wonderful to sleep in and couldn't have been nicer accommodations. Thank You.”

• Nice pool. Large room.
• The room smelled stale when we first entered.

“The room was large with a king size bed, two chairs and a desk. The room smelled kind of stale when we first entered, but we either got used to it or it went away when we started the air conditioner. The indoor pool and spa was nice.”

• The room was comfortable, well maintained and had wireless internet service.
• It was located a little way from the freeway, but that did not detract from the overall stay.

• Rude staff, Room smelled terrible.

“The housekeeping staff was gathered in the hall outside of our room at 3:00 am on Sunday morning telling jokes and laughing. Very disruptive and rude. When we informed management of the issue he stated they were running behind and that is why they were there so late. No sorry, just brushed it off. The staff also did not respond to requests for towels and a new iron since the one in the room did not work.”

• No food service other than breakfast buffet; had to leave hotel to purchase pain reliever.

“Rooms were comfortable and clean (with the exception for the shower curtain, which smelled). Since this was a week-end getaway, it was frustrating that there was no room service or gift shop.”

• Location close to attractions.
• This does not meet your usual standards for 3 or 3.5 starts as quoted. It is a 2 star hotel and should have been stated as such.

“The location was appropriate to my needs. The Manager was rude. The view, the facility, the staff, the food menu etc reflected a 2 star hotel as opposed to the 3/3.5 star.”

• The bar drinks were too expensive and weak.

“A little off the beaten path, but overall a clean hotel with friendly staff. The attached restaurant/bar was extremely slow although the bartenders were friendly.”

“The hotel front desk clerk talked too much. Its location is more than one-half hour from downtown Portland and twenty minutes north east of the airport without traffic.”

• Bathroom too small.

“Convenient, beds were very comfortable; the hotel was very clean and had full amenities. The area around the hotel shut down a little early.”

• Cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Indoor pool and hot tub.
• No refrigerator, when they were available, we would have had to switch rooms to get one.

• Staff very nice. Comfortable bed.
• Room had been smoked in, plugged me up, hard to sleep!

“My only problem was the fact that the room had been smoked in. When we checked in, the window was open, although it wasn't real warm. My husband could smell a little bit of smoke, but not bad. We slept a few hours, then got up, shut the window and went to visit our relatives. We were gone about 4 hours, and came back and it was awful. I didn't complain, and we just went to bed. Mistake! I had a terrible time sleeping because of the cigarette smoke, it had gotten so much stronger because of the room being shut up for so many hours!”

• Customer service was exceptional. Impeccably clean!
• No complaints or recommendations for improvement.

“Great hotel with excellent facilities and amenities. inside pool, laundry facilities, free internet. Clean and secure inside and out. Quiet location close to freeway and eateries. Highly recommend!”

“Stay turned out to be excellent. Clean comfortable room. Very quiet neighborhood. Nice pool area. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn.”

• Spacious room with nice amenities.
• Heating unit did not respond to thermostat.

“I waited several minutes to check in as the only desk person had a phone that would not stop ringing. The room was quite nice and comfortable, though the heating unit did not work from the thermostat and overheated the room over night. I would stay in this hotel again.”

• Great location and very friendly front desk staff
• Hotel restaurant had very slow service

“Very friendly staff. The people at the front desk made our stay very nice. The room and hotel were clean and nice. Safe neighborhood very convienient to the Columbia River Gorge and Mt Hood Loop. I would stay here again.”
