• Clean, basic facilities, staff helpful, good location.
• Not for families.

“The hotel was about 20 mines walk from the main centre, on a slight hill. Location was good and hotel was clean, staff friendly. The breakfast had a good selection, a bit more than continental but not loads of choice would get quite boring If staying there for a long period. I would say Sorrento Is definitely not for families as the roads are quite manic and the walk Into town Is partly paved but for some of It, It Is quite dangerous. There Is a shuttle bus that runs regularly from the hotel Into the centre, apart from Thursdays but there Is a public bus that stops outside the hotel at regular Intervals. You can get trains from the centre to all places, Pompeii and Naples to name a couple. Quite cheap. Taxis are very expensive here, to get a taxi from airport will cost you over one hundred euros. Sorrento Is gorgeous and we are going to visit again as we only went for a few days for a wedding therefore did not get to do as much as we wanted. Hotel pool Is very cold but refreshing. Rooms basic but nice. All In all, recommended for couples (not families).”

• Road traffic very noisy.

“Very welcoming staff that are anxious to please. Top floor rooms have small sea view obstructed by large trees opposite hotel. Good pool area. Location outside of main town serviced by frequent local bus service and hotel mini bus which needs to be prebooked. Breakfasts cater for all tastes. Evening meals typical of Italian tourist hotels. Dining room staff very attentive. All in all, a pleasant holiday experience for the price paid.”
