• Convenient location, clean, and nice restaurant staff.
• Pricey for someplace on a large highway, just another holiday inn.

“Convenient for the traveler, located near the major roadways, not in a resort location so a bit pricey for on overnight stay. Not like it's in downtown Newport!”

• The rooms were neat, clean and inviting. I liked the blankets covered by sheets!
• Bathrooms are a little small and the door opens in.

“This hotel met our needs. I would use this hotel again when we travel to that area of Rhode Island. 20 minutes from Green Hill Beach area is a plus.”

• Up until this visit we loved this hotel and always had good experiences in the past.
• The carpeting in the room was disgusting!

“I feel we were treated poorly. However, when we arrived the room was booked as a smoking room which it was not and there is no way to change that per the desk clerk. I explained that we were traveling with a 6 mo. old baby but they did not budge. They also placed us on the 3rd floor when I had called to request the 1st or 2nd floor. Again, they were unwilling to do anything for us. We were appalled at the shabby treatment and will look to stay elsewhere in the future!”

• There were plenty of pillows, and breakfast was great.
• The mattresses were kind of flat, you could feel the springs

• The hotel was centrally located near Providence, New Port and the Southern Coast of Rhode Island.
• Bathroom was a little small.

“My wife enjoyed the 24 hour complimentary coffee and tea bar. We appreciated being located on the first floor with a sliding door overlooking the pool, even though it wasn't open for the season yet. We also never heard anyone in the adjoining rooms, even though they were both booked. This hotel is minutes away from Providence, Newport and the Southern Coast of RI. Great location!”

• People were friendly and helpful. Polite and professional.
• The folks in the next room were out of control until 3:30 am. Once I called the front desk, they took care of the problem.

• Friendly and helpful staff made you feel like you were at home.
• No vent fan in bathroom. Would be helpful after showers.

“Great place to stay. Staff was marvelous. Restaurant food was decent, but a little pricey compared to other places in the area. However the service more than made up for this. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.”

• It met my goal of being adjacent to Newport.
• Under construction so difficult to navigate to main lobby. Roadway (not the hotel's fault) under construction. Bathroom very small.

“Overall rating was fair to good. Tired looking which is probably why they are being renovated. Small bathrooms and poor restaurant for breakfast.”

“We stayed here in June 2006. When we checked in the hotel room was dirty, and worst of all had some kind of vomit on the side of toilet which was not cleaned until the next day. The food at the Tower Hill Grill (The restaurant at this hotel) was absolutely HORRIBLE the food was always cold and then for breakfast the pancakes were burnt 2 days in a row. The hotel was under construction and there were no lights in the front of the hotel as they were all taken down for the construction so you could not see anything or even find the new entrance they were using as the hotel is in construction. The service was horrible the waitress and bartender had no idea how to work the cash register and at one point could not find the cook so we could get food. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even if you get a good deal as it seems that when you get to the hotel you are treated differently and getting the good deal almost as if you are not as good.”

• Good service. We called front desk and they brought stuff to our room.
• It was under renovation, which we didn't find out until we arrived.

“Good price alternative to downtown Newport. We paid $110/night compared to $200+ for Newport locations.”

• Friendly and helpful front desk attendants.
• Breakfast buffet has boiled eggs in a bag, scrambled eggs.

“Clean, good location, friendly staff, nice pool and gym, nice restaurant area, but after the breakfast buffet. Overpriced and normally free in the south cost $8.99. ”

• Hotel recently refurbished looks nice in side.
• Breakfast was a looser every thing was cold, toast, fried eggs, french toast.

“Easy to find. Rooms and bathroom recently completely redone,tasteful decore. Outdoor pool and small exercise room. Complementary morning newspaper. Room had good bright lighting. Full tile wall bathroom and tile floor.”

“Great hotel, you cant go wrong by staying here. It is centrally located between south and north Rhode Island. I would stay here again. One issue is the entrance and exit of this hotel. It is hard to get in and get out with traffic.Other than that, great place to stay and I have and will stay here again.”

• The hotel staff was kind and promt. The location was ideal for the beach and sightseeing
• The room was supposed to be non-smoking. It absolutely reeked of someone smoking in it.

“The hotel is located in an ideal location to see the Narragansett beach, catch the ferry to Block Island or go out on the town in Newport. The service was good. The rooms left something to desire.”

• Close to ultimate destination
• Low water pressure. Restaurant closes too early, no others near by.

“Your basic Holiday Inn experience. Spacious room, scarcity of restaurants really close. However, pretty good value for proximity to Newport, Rhode Island. ”

“In the middle of nowhere. Damp sheets.I stayed on the second floor, to get there you have to walk to an elevator at the other end of the hotel, in addition you have to walk by all the smoking rooms.I won't be back.”

• The hotel lobby had a variety of teas and coffee available at all times. They also had an exercise room.
• The hotel was located on a really busy road and it was difficult to find at night since it has no address.

“We couldn't get an address of the hotel so it was difficult to locate. But the staff was helpful and the amenities were adequate for the price that was paid. Overall the experience was great.”
