• Perfect for a passing through stay.
• Shuttle service provided to clients does not seem to be as frequent as other hotel chains, e.g. Days Inn, located in the same vicinity.

“As I have indicated, due to its relative proximity to JFK, it's a perfect place to stay when one is just passing through to catch a next-day connection.”

“While check in it should be mentioned that there are two JFK Holiday Inns, the regular and the express. We went to the wrong one. somehow this should be clarified.”

“The staff at the Holiday Inn Express JFK is fantastic. When I was at the airport the personnel who answered the phone did not know where the shuttle was and instead of asking me to call back went to another room and asked a fellow staff member. I checked in after midnight and the staff was very easy to work with. The continental breakfast meets anyones expectations. The shuttle from the airport was convenient and their was shuttle to the Subway as well. Great experience.”

• The staff were very helpful, kind and patient. The hotel was clean.
• Although they provided a breakfast, they didn't have a restaurant on site. There was a Chinese restaurant near and food could be ordered in.

“The desk clerk was very kind and helpful. I also observed the desk clerk instructing foreign guests with poor English skills in a patient and courteous way. This hotel is clean, near the airport and was a convenient stay as we had an early flight. The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle service.”

• Nothing given the star rating.

“For anyone staying flying to JFK ands out again next day this is an excellent hotel. Clean, safe rooms. Brilliant location for airport transfers. All staff we met were exceedingly helpful. e.g.. volunteering best nearby restaurant from personal experiences etc. If staying overnight near JFK this is the place to be but very limited nearby facilities if staying in the area longer.”

• Rooms overlooked the highway.

“We enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet. The desk staff recommended an Indian restaurant that delivered a wonderful meal. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful.”

“This was a very clean, neat, and friendly hotel. Our stay was very pleasant and we will stay again. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The price was excellent and the location was not bad. We used the subway to visit Manhattan, which was not difficult at all. The free breakfast was excellent and good.”

• Room was extremely small and we reserved a room with 2 beds, but received a room with one bed and a pull out sofa bed.

• Well appointed rooms.
• Noisy - external noise was obvious during night.

“Situated--10 minutes from JFK, but shuttle service is only hourly between. Room sizes were not large, but well appointed. Staff was very good and helpful. While they have free Wi-Fi - the hotel computers were fee based; printing (airline confirmations was a hassle with print services provided by third party).”

• The hotel clerk offered me four bottles of water at the desk. The free breakfast was better than most.
• It was hard for the taxi driver to find.

“This was a very nice airport hotel for the price and the hotel staff was very accommodating to late arriving, overseas travelers who were exhausted. The free breakfast was better than most hotels that offer the same.”

• Helpful staff who went out of their way to help us get around and made sure we didn't get rip off by a taxi driver, clean.
• Nothing except waiting for the shuttle to pick us up but no big deal.

“I would definitely stay here again. Our room was small but it was neat and clean, place looks new, lobby looks great and the staff were very helpful. Everyone we encountered were very helpful.”

• Very clean, cozy, and very near the airport.
• Too far from Manhattan.

“For the price that was paid, the hotel was very clean, warm and cozy. It did lack a safe in the room; there was one available if you went to the front desk. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.”

“The room was crowded. The continental breakfast was served early for travelers who needed to get to the airport before normal serving time. It was conveniently located near JFK and shuttle service was very good and fast.”

• Proximity to JFK and price.
• It appeared to me that there were individuals hanging out by the lobby when I checked in @ 0130 with 2 young children. Not a good 1st impression.

“It turned out to be better that my 1st impression. Questionable characters were roaming the reception area very late at night. The reception staff was very professional and helpful. The bathroom was immaculate! It looked like they had done renovations.”

• Decent breakfast, clean room, helpful staff, quiet.
• Ugly industrial location but convenient to airport. Too expensive, but welcome to NYC.

“We just needed a stop over hotel between plane flights, and this was the least expensive option we could find near the airport. Nice shuttle service from JFK. Staff very thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast pretty good and included nice variety. The eggs were strange. Room was quiet and clean.”

• The proximity to the JFK airport was great as was the airport shuttle service.
• Nothing I can think of.

“This hotel had one of the most comfortable beds, pillows, and sheets of any hotel we've stayed in. The comfort of the bed and pillows exceeded the quality of luxury hotels we've stayed in.”

• Clean rooms, very nice and helpful guy that drove the shuttle, also very convenient.
• Took forever to get warm, poor heating and air unit.

“Overall good experience and close to airport. The shuttle was quick and easy and the staff was helpful, they even gave us take out menus for local restaurants which was nice for such a cold night.”

• Conveniently accessible by free shuttle from joke and reasonably priced for the area.
• I found the bed uncomfortable compared to comparable hotels.

“This is a pretty decent hotel for the budget business traveler. It is a new property in good condition. I liked that it has a free shuttle service to joke, as I used public transportation to get around. The breakfast at holiday inn express is better than most hotels of its class -- they actually serve protein -- and also the warm cinnamon rolls are great. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the facilities clean. My only complaint was the bed -- not as comfortable as, say Hampton inn, and the mattress covers seemed noisy, like sleeping on plastic. Earplugs would have helped.”

“This is a one night stay hotel near JFK. The clientele seemed diverse, and there were many people hanging around the lobby. I was told by a hotel staff member that a cab to JFK would be $14. Instead, the cab driver laughed and told us it was $25. I wasn't impressed by the hotel, but the staff was courteous. Nevertheless, for one night, it was OK.”
