• Beds were very good.

• Big hotel.
• Had to swim, they have guests who come for swimming lessons at the club. and it stinks in my room.

“My room smelled like sewer gas and mildew, my bathroom when it got warm or hot really stank of mildew, I had to wipe off the shower head inside the spray area to get the blackness of mold off so it would stop stinking so bad. When you turn off the AC, it stinks in the room really bad. I went to the front desk and told them they gave me a can of air freshener, didn't offer me a new room. The room service was great. I have a really bad sinus headache, If I had not to wait there for my husband to return that night from Texas, I would have left. I asked for a comment card, they said they didn't have any.”

• Very friendly staff.
• The grab bar in the tub was placed by the toilet not the open floor space.

“This is a convention center located adjacent to a golf course. The room had standard furnishing but a very comfortable bed and pillows. We enjoyed the indoor pool. There is also an outdoor pool, an exercise room, and a computer/business room.”

• Great service, amenities and location.
• Some may feel that the restaurant on location is too expensive.

“Hotel is located on the beautiful grounds of the Quail Hollow Golf Course which has 36 holes. It has a full exercise and workout area including a sauna, whirlpool and very large indoor pool. The hotel has a high quality steak house on-site and also has a business center free for guests to use. Free wireless is included in each room.”

• The comforter and pillows were excellent!
• The power went out one morning. Luckily it was back on by 6 a.m.

“This hotel was quite comfortable and the service was great. I would definitely stay here again. I was in a room in the very back of the hotel which was quiet. It was a very long walk to the restaurant.”

• Did not receive promised upgrade.

“This hotel has a nice "big camp" feel when you enter the lobby. The rooms featured very comfortable beds and were nicely decorated. The staff was extremely helpful. The only thing we were disappointed is was that they confirmed an upgrade to a family room for us that did not materialize on check-in. Instead, we were given a handicapped room. The hotel was not booked at all and we're sure the family room was available.”

• The location was great for our trip and the hotel was great. it was nice, the pool was great, the weight room was great, and the rooms were well kept.
• The restaurant was a little pricey.

• Heat didn't work in one room; toilet was broken in another.

“Request to fix the heat in one room took 3 attempts & 24 hours before we were moved to another room. In a second room the toilet mechanism failed to flush. Our initial understanding regarding a meeting room w/ internet was that there would be no additional fee (because we had reserved 11 hotel rooms). However, upon arrival we were told the internet connection would be $250/day! This was negotiated down to $75/day, but when the final invoice arrived it was back up to $80/day.”

• The bed was wonderful with down pillows & comforter. The hot tub was also great. Had dinner in the hotel and the food was superb.
• Cell phones and laptops will not work in the room. They only work in the lobby. Dinner at hotel was great but steak too pricey and too small.

“This hotel is a great place to stay for business travelers or couples. I don't think it's really a family place. My husband's laptop would only work in the lobby but they had an area for him to work. I went to the exercise room and used the hot tub. The heated pool was nice but the water was too cold to swim. Location is great, right off I 90. Personnel at the hotel were really nice and helpful.”

• Front desk was hard to reach; they did not pick up calls.

“Great hotel; especially for someone who wants a quiet retreat. Wireless a little slow but workable. Room service efficient, prompt. Great American food. Beautiful decor, amenities. Wished there was a way they could monitor if guests were smoking in the rooms. Supposed to be non smoking.”

• A very nicely appointed hotel. Spacious and inviting.
• Not enough front desk help. Was on hold for over 20 minutes trying to call them.

“Everything was perfect about our stay. Only issue I had was with the slow telephone response. They only had one person on duty so I ended up on hold for about 20 minutes before arriving at the hotel. Otherwise, this is a great hotel.”

• The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!
• Room smelled like cigarettes even though hotel is non smoking.

“Very comfortable rooms (truly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in), and great quality toiletries. The breakfast buffet was delicious and appropriately priced. The staff was not over friendly, but not rude either. The ambiance is nice. Our room had a view of the parking lot. As the hotel was not filled, it would have been nice to have had a room with a better view especially after having to change rooms because our first one smelled so heavily of cigarette smoke.”

“Quail hollow was, simply put, a fantastic place to stay. The staff was all very friendly and extremely professional. The room in which I stayed was outfitted tastefully, and was immaculately clean. While the view from my particular room was not great, I imagine that it would be stellar with other rooms. The scenery surrounding the hotel was subtly refreshing. I would definitely recommend this to both business and leisure travelers.”

“The room was comfortable enough - probably on the low end of a three star hotel because of the size of the room and the view was of a rock covered roof. There was coffee and a coffee pot in the room but no complimentary coffee in the lobby for guests. I was told I could purchase a cup in the restaurant for $2.”

“This hotel works at a number of levels. It seems good for golfers, for families with kids who expect to drive a little for each new day's adventure & for the business traveler who likes to sneak in a round on the road. We had a busy shopping weekend in mind, so my kids didn't get to enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool or to sample the internal restaurants. I didn't golf, & I didn't have to send any emails but all those facilities were there & looked fine. The hotel looks nice as you drive in, there is ample parking & access points (with room key) to each 'wing' of the building & the rooms are well serviced if a bit dull on the decor side. The general neighborhood seems like a nice, safe place to take kids to, with a nice semi-rural feel, without the screaming sirens, or graffiti or any other signs of urban decay! Faith at check-in, was a charm, hope the rest of their staff are as good at the customer relations thing as she was! I think I missed a great party though-came out one morning for my start-up smoke of the day to find a towel & a three quarters full bottle of absolute sitting on the sidewalk! Never heard a thing though so nothing got too out of control or loud. For a frame of reference, I travel a lot for work, domestically & internationally, & while I'd like to go 5 star deluxe on someone else's tab all the time, I spend as much time in 2 star (so long as it's clean & safe!) as I do the higher end. I'd recommend this place for work or pleasure, so long as you're not looking for exciting downtown nightlife.”
