• You had to pay for internet, at other ES I did not.

• The bed was so comfortable, we didn't want to get up.
• In the morning we were disturbed twice (by management and housekeeping).

• Large room with plenty of space and a door to close of the front room.
• The shower curtin was old and tattered.

“The room was huge and well appointed. The best feature was that the bedroom area could be closed off from the front room to allow for a peaceful night's rest without hearing late night noise in the hall ways.”

• Front desk very accommodating, free breakfast.
• Not enough chefs at omelets bar.

“Embassy suites hunt valley is a pretty, comfortable hotel with many amenities. It has a great complimentary full breakfast. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. A manager's reception from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm takes the edge off a hard day. This is a nice place to stay for a family, business, or romantic weekend.”

• It is close to the highway, and the price was reasonable.
• It was a little dingy. The TV remote control didn't work.

“This hotel is okay for the price. We stayed at the Sheraton inner harbor on Thursday night, and it was much nicer. On Friday night, we stayed at embassy suites and it was a step down. But it was worth it, because the price at the Sheraton for a Friday night would have been much higher.”

• Great free breakfast & cocktail hrs & faboo food & housekeeping staff. Real suite [not oversized room]. Pool!
• Rudeness from some front desk staff, micro-fridge set up, lack of offer to make up for troubles.

“Great location, indoor poor/whirlpool, ambience & the most comfy beds anywhere. The "freebies" for breakfast and 2-hr cocktails are full-featured, first-class. The suites have separate bedroom [many with micro-balcony] and sitting/office room, not just one super-room. But trying to work, talk or sleep in the sitting room is difficult because of very noisy a/c intake. In-room net access is painful & not well designed or supported.”

• Great mgrs drinks party each night and breakfast is great.
• Burned out light bulb and not a cinch to check out.

“Nice location, the free drinks each night is nice and the breakfast is great. The refurb is a good thing but not well cleaned up (residue on bathroom door from refurb work, main door stuck) Only one ice machine worked out of 4 we tried. Can be noisy with kids on weekend. Overall a good place.”

• Did not see any local sidewalks to walk to local businesses.

• Pool was warm, kids enjoyed, Drinks were cold, adults enjoyed.
• Breakfast was late and breakfast manager had a bad attitude

“Conveniently located for Baltimore attractions. Quiet neighborhood, but not much dining real closes. Under going renovation so little inconvenience's Breakfast was late (and we were in a hurry) and the breakfast manager was not very customer friendly put a damper on the visit.”

• Breakfast buffet was great and also the manager's reception.
• We requested a king size bed but nothing available when we checked in-ended up sleeping in separate beds. Ventilation bad, smoke you could smell.

“The rooms were clean but ventilation was bad. I thought I was going to have an asthma attack. Could smell the smoke even though we requested a non smoking room. Also requested a king size bed the day before check in and still given 2 small beds, ended sleeping separately.”

• I think my room was a room yet to be remodeled. The hotel was going through some construction.

• The noon check out time and free breakfast.
• A metal post stuck out from under the bed skirt which could have cause an injury to someone who may have been less attentive.

• Lifeguard at the pool was very rude to my children.

“Everything was very nice except for the pool's lifeguard. he was very rude to my children. he wouldn't allow them to use certain facilities, but later we noticed other children using them. he was a very nasty person to us!!!!”

• The location was convenient and in a safe area. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour were nice touches.

“I looked forward to staying in an Embassy Suites but was extremely disappointed. The hotel was under construction and it was noisy. Our room was on the second floor directly across from a busy elevator. Our room was shabby and had seen its better day. The bathroom was shabby and old. I was very unhappy. Also, it was all the hotel could do to give us a non-smoking room. They acted as if it was a special favor. When we asked about getting around Baltimore they were less than helpful. I have relatives in the Hunt Valley, MD area and would never stay at this hotel again.”

• Close to Light rail-convenient to Baltimore without the traffic.
• Nothing wrong-Maybe one elevator was out of service so the one took a while to arrive.

“If you want to visit Baltimore but prefer the barbs (great shopping, decent food selection) to the inner harbor AND don't want to deal with the traffic, this is the place to stay. Clean, easy to find and right next to the Light Rail which is a 35 minute, $3.50 trip. A good deal in a nice location across from the Hunt valley Mall (food and shopping galore).”

• Great full hot breakfast with cook-to-order station.
• Air conditioning strength varies greatly between rooms - some rooms may require 24 hour operation to achieve desired coolness.

“The daily (seven days a week) free manager's reception was a valuable amenity. It provided unlimited open bar from 5:30 to 7:30 daily plus a vegetable tray with dip and one hot appetizer (e.g., meatballs, potato cheese balls, chips with salsa or cheese dipped.). Plus, there was the free usual bar snacks and popcorn. Wow!!”

“This hotel had a major screw-up, they checked another guest into the same room I occupied, while I was out for dinner, another guest entered by room and left a note for me to complain with the front desk. The only compensated me with two free drink coupons. I emailed them and have not received any response.”

• Problems with internet, though help was offered, I declined it.

“This was a nice hotel with a nice location near good shopping Hunt Valley Center. I left at 7 am on route 83 to the downtown Baltimore convention Center and arrived on time able to make a 7:45 am appointment. So, despite its distance from downtown, traffic was not bad on route 83 (a Monday) making this hotel a viable option compared with more expensive downtown hotels. I believe there is also light rail service, but I did not check into it. I would recommend this hotel as an alternative to a downtown stay. Just get an early start.”

“the hotel location and price was excellent. teh rooms were dates and do not meet expectations of a 3-star hotel. teh rooms had not been updated for atleast 20 years, the bathroom fixtures and base of tub were grimey--I ended up going to another hotel for lodging.”

• The continental breakfast every am was wonderful.
• Our room did not get mad on New Years eve.

“The hotel overall was great- the housekeeping staff forgot our room on the 31st of Dec and so we did not have fresh towels, trash dumped, etc. We called housekeeping and they dropped off the supplies an hour later. We talked to the manager the next am and they were not helpful at all.”

• They had directions to the local church written by and tested by local staff.
• It is starting to looking a bit dated, but is excellent nonetheless

“Our suite was clean; the staff was extremely helpful, and the location, about 20 minutes from Inner Harbor was excellent. There is a new upscale shopping area and a light rail station less than a mile from the hotel. Easy access to I-83. Beautiful interior, with waterfalls and lots of plants.”

“A high-quality hotel with a gorgeous atrium interior. Each suite has 2 rooms, 2 TVs, a microwave, refrigerator, and 2 sinks (plus a wet bar). Free breakfast every morning - hot and cooked to order! Every evening there was a Manager's Reception with open bar, veggie dips, and a hot appetizer.”

• The "Made to Order" breakfast was disappointing.

“This hotel has convenient highway access so it's a quick trip to the Inner Harbor. The hotel atrium was so relaxing to walk through! Staff epitomized Southern hospitality. The only disappointment was the "made to order" breakfast. Hotels are busy on weekends and they should have been better prepared instead of letting basics run out. Even on an empty Monday morning my waffle wasn't made to order, it was pulled out of a warming tray and it got cold very quickly. ”

• Rom was hot and stuffy- no air conditioning available.

“I have stayed here several times in the past but this time was BAD. My room (and obviously all of the others) was hot and stuffy because in the building, they either had heat or A/C and they chose to have only heat while I was there. When I complained, the solution was to open my balcony door. This is not what you should hear in a 4 star hotel. I would suggest that you revisit their eligibility for that rating.”
