“My experience was good. I informed the manager upon my departure of the difficulty in operating the TV. Need to have instructions available to figure out how to get LOCAL programming. Inadequate electrical outlets for computer equip. Had to pull bed away from wall to reach a very loose socket!” Sep 10, 2009 by
James from Triangle,VA
“This hotel was listed as 3 1/2/ stars. it clearly isn't. The building is old. The rooms were dingy. The beds were uncomfortable. The carpet seemed slightly damp and musty. The rooms I was given were listed as non smoking, but clearly had been smoked in. It took 1/2 can of Lysol in each room to get rid of the cigarette smoke smell. The wired Internet in my room was not working, and the technician that the desk sent up was a porter who didn't know how to do anything besides plug in a new cable. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with the Internet provider's tech support and still could not get the service running. The hotel screwed up my reservation, checking me out two nights early. When I spoke to the front desk about it, it took 45 minutes to resolve the issue, and I had to be moved to a new room.” Jul 27, 2009 by
Tracer from Cincinnati,OH
“Overall excellent hotel. I would stay there again.” Jul 26, 2009 by
Sherry from Gainsville Florida
“This hotel is rated 3.5 stars. I was able to get this room reasonably cheap. Upon entering the room, we quickly noticed that the carpets were filthy and it smelled like mildew. The bathroom is in desperate need of remodeling, the paint job in the room is in serious need, etc. The only thing that actually looked ok was the beds. They were fluffy and nice. Had I paid the regular rate I would have been furious. Whoever assigns star ratings obviously never stayed in this hotel, because it was just flat out? I had to double-check the main entrance to make sure I was at a Sheraton because I have never seen one in this poor condition and I am a frequent traveler. I have never had a problem with hotels. Sheraton should be ashamed to claim this as one of their chain, because I know I will now think twice about trusting Sheraton after this horrifying experience. Marriott will be my choice from now on.” Jul 24, 2009 by
Pam from Hartsdale,NY
“The hotel is very large but there were few people around. There is adequate staff. There is a shop in the lobby which sells many necessary items. The pool and whirlpool are open until 10 pm.” Jun 30, 2009 by
Michael from Corinth,TX
“This hotel met all my needs. I would stay here again!” Jun 27, 2009 by
Richelle from Hope Hull,AL
“Great hotel, good service. Not for those trying to save some cash by eating in the room; it wasn't set up for that at all. The restaurant was great, and open late, although expensive. Altogether a fairly good experience, but a little inconvenient at times.” May 31, 2009 by
Bonnie from Lucama,NC

“The lobby is very attractive, the small restaurant in the area is convenient for late arrivals like mine and my overall experience was very positive.” Feb 18, 2009 by
Steven from Harwich,MA
“Okay for low end business travelers - but felt it was used up as a get a way destination - had a large group of firemen who were loud and obnoxious at 2 am in the hallways.” Feb 16, 2009 by
Scott Pempek from Putnam,CT
“If you like old run down 30 year old plus hotels that have not done much in the renovation department, then this is the place for you!” Feb 14, 2009 by
Eileen from Longs,SC
“Hotel was well located for my purposes, clean and friendly. Rooms were tired and old but the public areas were very nice. Ample parking and easy access to all areas.” Jan 3, 2009 by
Michael from New Cumberland,PA
“I was there for 5 days starting the day after Christmas. Hotel was not very busy during this period. Check-in was fast with friendly counter people. I asked if the room had a refrigerator and was told no but she would have one delivered. I kindly declined the offer. The lobby is nice and very open. There is adequate parking in the rear which is close to entrance doors and elevators. My room was on the 4th floor. My room was a typical hotel room; bed, desk, couple of chairs, TV, and separate bathroom. The bed was firm; which I like. The room was clean and the staff visited everyday. My room was on east side and was extremely quite. The hotel does have a bar/lounge; however, only a couple of people were there. Needless to say there is not much chance to socialize unless you bring your own friends or guest.” Dec 2, 2008 by
Jose from Bellingham,MA
“There were many problems. The halls were dirty, the heater was broken. When we got a new room at 4am, they did not offer to help move our luggage. Next day, the key card didn't work and the beds were not made. We asked for a crib, but they gave us a playpen. The bathroom sink was broken. There was no drain plug for the bathtub.” Nov 25, 2008 by
Barry from Bradenton,FL
“I am handicaped. Informed staff at check in. Placed in room furthest from the parking lot and elevators. The elevator was broken for 3 days so I was unable to get to room without requesting assistance each time. Did not place me in another more accessable room. Finally fixed elevator on third day. Management needs education.” Nov 3, 2008 by

“I would recommend this hotel highly. Clean and elegant feeling throughout.” Oct 28, 2008 by

“Based on the room I had I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Steve from Bath, ME
“Stayed 3 days in Sep 2008. Friendly fast front desk service a+. The restaurant was good (I had breakfast), but expensive 15.99 for the buffet. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but carpet needed repair, and the tub drain was slow. Common spaces were clean, but also had minor blemishes in the carpet and decor. The pool and hot tub very nice, clean and in good repair (best part of the hotel). The bar was very expensive (7.50 for a Corona beer), with poor service as I only saw the bartender the one time who then promptly disappeared for more than half an hour. I am undecided about staying here again. Ok hotel, but nothing special.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Carl from Boca Raton, FL
“The lobby looks great and the food was good but the hallways and room seemed to smell musky and in need of an update.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Denise from Atlanta, GA
“This hotel is in a safe location. It is convenient to the Long Island Railroad, just a short cab ride. The food in the restaurant was almost not eatable. The service was slow and when I complained about the food they wanted to bring more. I declined and they didn't even remove from bill.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Ricky from Brooklyn, NY
“We had a really nice stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.” Sep 1, 2008 by
Dina from Cedarhurst, NY
“A beautiful hotel, in a great location. The room was smaller than I expected, but was clean and fine for our vacation. The pool was great for the kids. The fitness center was perfect for my husband. The hotel was very clean which was super for me!” Aug 28, 2008 by
Melissa from N. Massapequa, NY
“This hotel is very nice and elegant.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Kerry from Avon, CT
“The staff couldn't have been any friendlier. Unfortunately, this hotel can't compare to the Islandia Marriott, which has the same star rating, but is a much nicer looking hotel. We had requested a fridge for milk, but were given one that didn't work. The hotel staff provided a replacement the next day that worked, but was very scratched and beat-up. My mother's room at the Marriott came with a fridge. In addition, I had to request that they change our bedding the second day because we were given a blanket that had holes in it. The hotel and rooms are dated in and sad need of renovation. The staff, on the other hand, is top-notch.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Anne A. from South Bend, NY
“Hotel is very attractive and the staff is excellent. We didn't have to rent a car because the complimentary shuttle service took us to and from airport, to the nearby mall and to the train station (take the train right into Penn station and 34th street). The only negative thing was that our non-smoking room wasn't non-smoking - but they offered us another room, that was a bit better, and we had some left over food from a wedding that we wanted to refrigerator and we couldn't because there was no fridge. Other than that - it was a great price for a Long Island hotel.” Aug 26, 2008 by
A from Durham, NC
“If you're looking for a great place to be with family, the Sheraton in Hauppauge is an excellent option. In addition to the hotel's luxurious quality, the hotel is conveniently located near a myriad of restaurants.” Aug 25, 2008 by
Pete from Odessa, FL

“Hotel had great location and was very clean. I did not hear any other guests; it was very quiet. We arrived late because of a delayed flight and staff was very helpful.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Angel from Wolcott, NY
“This was a clean, comfortable, modern hotel with all expected amenities.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Mark from Port Washington, NY
“This is basically a business hotel. The room and bathroom were clean/comfortable. Wanted to check my e-mail, but at 60 cents a minute, this seemed pricey, as most hotels provide this service free.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Clara from Perkinsville, VT
“The Sheraton Hotel was very nice and easy to find. Other than the pricey ness of the food; we were happy with our stay.” Jul 27, 2008 by
A.B. from New City, NY
“Disgusting! I did not expect it to be like that. I have been to different hotels in the country and Canada. But this is the most disgusting place I have been to Long Island. First of all, the carpet was very damped. We could not walk barefoot on the carpet. There was a lot of stain. It looked very dirty. I let that go, I thought to myself may be because it was raining. But the next morning, I saw a cockroach crawling by the door. I was so disgusted! That place is really dirty! Another thing, we were on the first floor, they have a backdoor for guest who parked in the back. We got there at 12 morning, the doors were not locked. It was supposed to be a swipe your room key entry, but it was not working. I did not feel safe. That hotel does not deserve a 3 star rating!” Jul 26, 2008 by
Tom from Fairfax, VA
“Sheraton is usually dependable. Waitress was wonderful, great service and very personable. Front desk service was great.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Marian from Roswell, GA
“This is great value for the money. The hotel staff addressed all of our needs. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would make this our first choice when we return to Long Island. We had a great stay.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Eran from Toronto, ON CA
“The hotel does not have enough dining/snacking options especially for weekends. The rooms are large and well appointed. I did not like the carpet. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the location is very good for almost all the activities on the Long Island.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Irene from Clermont, FL
“I have used this hotel a number of times, this time the room we were in was an old smoking room with brown marks on the floor, broken glass on the picture on the wall and the hall had litter left for hours. I was disappointed.” Jul 21, 2008 by
Tom from Voorhees, NJ
“Very nice rooms - good location - good value.” Jul 19, 2008 by
John from Orlando, FL
“Looks nice but AC would not work and staff would not do anything about it. Hotel bus would not take use any were and it was only 10 min away.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Christy from Hendersonville, NC

“I will definitely use the Hotel on my next visit. I will also recommend the hotel to family and friends.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Natchala from Providence, RI
“This is a nice hotel. The staff made sure that my needs were meet and every question was answered and every concern addressed. The hotel overall with the exception of the pool area is a very nice, relaxing, family or romantic oriented environment. This trip we brought the kids and they enjoyed their stay I would definitely go again with the kids and even just with my partner. Hopefully the pool area will be more cleanly the next time.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Layne from Chicago, IL
“The hotel was located in a pretty good location from where I needed to be. The room was spacious, yet laid out weird so it was hard to move around easily. I had a friend visit and was able to get 2 queen beds which were comfortable to sleep on. The Air Conditioning did not work great. Room was cool, yet was humid. The pool was small and full of kids, so I never went in. Workout room looked nice. Overall it was a good experience for me. I basically just slept at the hotel and for the price I got the room at, it was well worth it.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Dawn from Severn, MD
“Loved the temperature of the indoor swimming pool.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Irene from Clermont, FL
“Service, staff. Food was all great.” Jul 8, 2008 by
David from Charlotte, NC
“The bathroom did not have a fan or vent so the room would fog up with steam during the morning showers. Poor ventilation.” May 30, 2008 by
Ron from Rochester, NY
“Nice amenities such as indoor pool, exercise room and business conference room.” May 14, 2008 by
Judy from Bloomington, NY
“It was great for the price.” Apr 26, 2008 by

“This hotel is older, and it shows. The hotel has outdated keycard room doors, and out of date comforters and linens which I did not really want to lay on. I expected much more.”
