• Easy access.
• The room has shabby picture on the wall with broken glass.

“I have used this hotel a number of times, this time the room we were in was an old smoking room with brown marks on the floor, broken glass on the picture on the wall and the hall had litter left for hours. I was disappointed.”

• Nice bar and pool.
• AC did not work in room and the staff did not care or would not do anything about it. The hotel bus would not take use some place only 10 miles.

• The Hotel has very good customer service. Location is superb. Service, service, service - Excellent.
• Availability of little things such as sugar, milk overlooked.

• Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean.
• To much chlorine in the pool, the Jacuzzi was dirty. The whole pool room could have been cleaner.

“This is a nice hotel. The staff made sure that my needs were meet and every question was answered and every concern addressed. The hotel overall with the exception of the pool area is a very nice, relaxing, family or romantic oriented environment. This trip we brought the kids and they enjoyed their stay I would definitely go again with the kids and even just with my partner. Hopefully the pool area will be more cleanly the next time.”

• I liked the staff and the beds were comfortable.
• The rooms and hallways could use some upkeep. AC was not very good.

“The hotel was located in a pretty good location from where I needed to be. The room was spacious, yet laid out weird so it was hard to move around easily. I had a friend visit and was able to get 2 queen beds which were comfortable to sleep on. The Air Conditioning did not work great. Room was cool, yet was humid. The pool was small and full of kids, so I never went in. Workout room looked nice. Overall it was a good experience for me. I basically just slept at the hotel and for the price I got the room at, it was well worth it.”

• The price.
• Room was too far from the lobby/desk area.

“The bathroom did not have a fan or vent so the room would fog up with steam during the morning showers. Poor ventilation.”

“This hotel is older, and it shows. The hotel has outdated keycard room doors, and out of date comforters and linens which I did not really want to lay on. I expected much more.”

• Beautiful lobby and restaurant lounge.
• Ugly view out window. Extra fees for local phone and internet.

“Easy to access location off the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway a major east-west road. It is visible on the north side of I-495, the Long Island Expressway. Grounds are well kept and landscaped. Beautiful and impressive lobby / lounge. Indoor heated pool.”

• Ample amenities and Starbucks express shop.
• It was a very beautiful hotel at one time, it can use a little cosmetic updating only in certain areas.

“It was not as convenient to the area I needed to be in as the former hotel I stayed at, Wyndham Wind Watch Hotel, but I did know the area well. There was a large selection of restaurants close by which was appreciated. It was very convenient to the LIE.”

• The pool is clean.
• The bed is too small.

“The hotel is located next to the freeway and is easy to access. The parking lot is large and has plenty spaces. The lobby is nicely decorated though somewhat worn. The pool and spa are very clean and not crowded. The gym has jogging machine. The room is small, and the bed is too small for 2 persons. The staffs were professional and friendly.”

• Beautiful public areas.
• Rooms are e old, need an update.

“The hotel has beautiful public areas, bar, restaurant, pool, but the rooms were "old". The bathroom was very small and outdated. The heating/cooling system wasn't quite up to snuff either. It blew all night long, but didn't cool the room.”

“Service was too slow my second night dining at the hotel at the bar. The bartender was so slow! My first night at the bar was excellent, great bartender(2/6).Rooms need a "refresh". Long way to walk to front entrance if a meeting is taking place and parking spaces are full.”

“The bed was very comfortable, but the bathroom could have been cleaner and had more than 3 towels for 2 people. The pillows were a bit tired. The staff was friendly and prompt when we asked for something.”

“It had a nice pool and hot tub for families and the class and sophistication for business travelers. The lobby was big; this was the first hotel lobby I actually ever wanted to "hang out" in. Wonderfully pleasant and helpful staff.”

“Check in was fast and friendly! This hotel was easy to find from the exit, restaurants are very close. I recommend the brick oven pizza place 2 miles from the hotel. Only problem we had been no microwave or fridge in room. Beds are very comfortable and the atmosphere was nice and inviting.”

“This is a terrible hotel. The breakfast buffet was poor. The room was smelly and badly needs renovation. There was no free internet access. Parking area was dark. The lobby is dark and cavernous. It was a very depressing place to stay.”

• I loved the magnifying mirror and curved shower curtain rod in bathroom.
• I wasn't able to check my email on computer in lobby.

“Very nice appearance. My room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Noise level was low; I was not bothered by people in hallway even though I was near the elevator.”

“It is very convenient to Islip airport. The hotel is very clean and modern. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant is very friendly and helpful. The bar is a nice quiet atmosphere to have a drink with friends/family. I would definitely stay again on my next trip to long island.”

• The staff was very helpful and I would stay there again.
• On the 4th floor the hallway was very cold.

“I have nothing bad to say about the hotel it was a very nice experience. I had my grandchildren there one day to go in the built in, indoor pool. The staff came with extra towels and was very friendly.”

• Floor in room was awful, bathroom ok, expensive internet, rude staff.

“Floor in room was dirty, shower was not so great. Hotel was not easy to access from interstate. Internet was ridiculously expensive, and I refuse to pay internet fees, that are a total scam! Lobby was very attractive, but staff was rude and played little attention to you as a customer.”

• It was very clean, the staff treated us respectfully and it was close to restaurants and the Long Island Railroad.
• I cannot think of anything I didn't like.

“This was my second time staying at this hotel. It is extremely clean and our room was serviced everyday. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed to call for a cab. There was a wedding there that weekend, but it was not noisy. It is an hour train ride from NYC and is close to the train station and some restaurants. I will stay there again.”

• The public areas were very nice.
• Nickel and Dimmed to death.

“The public areas of the hotel are very nice. However you can tell the rooms have not been upgraded except for the bedding. Our room had an odd smell - although it was non-smoking. The carpet felt wet, perhaps recently cleaned which attributed to the smell. The bathroom was old - stained tub, cracked caulk around the sink. Overall I would much rather stay in a newer Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express etc. and not have to pay for breakfast and internet - I think it is ridiculous to pay for WI-FI - it doesn't cost the hotel any more money for me to connect so why charge $10 a day! Also - there was a business center downstairs that you had to pay for. If you are traveling for business and can expense everything I guess this hotel is ok, if you are traveling on your own dime, avoid this hotel.”

• Everything was fine except the cleanliness and condition of my room.
• Room coffee machine still had last guest's coffee, cups and coasters not changed either.

“Great hotel except for our room. Bathroom fan broken, old coffee in coffee machine, cups and coasters obviously not changed, ceiling tiles fell out of ceiling, tissue box almost empty, no regular coffee in room (only decaf) until we requested regular.”

“This is truly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I did not get "a great deal" but based upon the treatment I received and the horrific accommodations I was provided with, you would have thought I had paid less than a dollar.”

• The room bathroom could use some updating.

“Hotel, room, facilities were very nice. Bathroom was pretty good but not as nice as the rest of the room. Comfortable beds. Pool was very nice. In hotel restaurant was good. Convenient access to 495 but neighborhood kind of sparse (business district). Some concern about theft from vehicles in the parking lot.”
