“Location was in shady area.” Aug 25, 2008 by

“If your intended location is Long Island city, this hotel is very centrally located. However, it was not very clean, the amenities were extremely limited, and it was very overpriced for the services available.” Aug 24, 2008 by
Tewodros from Arlingron, VA
“They have to do a lot regarding the cleanliness.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Iva from Waltham, MA
“I was pleasantly surprised that the area was very nice. It felt safe. We even saw families with little kids dancing and playing in front of their houses late in the evening. A couple of very good restaurants and diners around the hotel. Commute was short-around 15 to 20 minutes to get to Central Park. Staff was friendly and even gave us free maps and brochures, since it was our first time in NYC. Also, the AC was already on when we opened the room, which I found very considerate. Even though it is located on an intersection, it was very quiet. Almost no traffic. On the downside, I didn't particularly care for the bed, since it was one of those worn-out mattresses that bends in the middle. Don't expect a spectacular breakfast, but at least they had apples and OJ. Coffee is free 24/7.” Aug 10, 2008 by

“The staff was extremely helpful in getting us to the hotel when we got lost! The rooms were somewhat small, but offered just what we needed. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family 2 adults & 4 kids. The 10-15 minute walk to the Subway made our trip to the city more enjoyable (we did not have to drive in the city. You for a nice trip!” Jul 29, 2008 by

“The hotel is close to the subway. There are places to eat within walking distance. It's a good neighborhood. The mattress wasn't comfortable though. Some rooms had softer mattresses than others. The staff was friendly and helpful.” Jul 19, 2008 by
Jessica from Woodbridge, VA
“The hotel was in a seedy area. I was happy to be able to park right by the entrance. The gentleman behind the counter was very soft spoken and difficult to understand. The 2nd time I came down to the front desk to ask for change, I had to wait for 10 minutes before he returned. The bed sheets were uncomfortable but the room was very clean. I wouldn't stay in the hotel again but it's a decent stay for a 1 star hotel.” Apr 18, 2008 by

“All I needed was a clean room with shower, bed, and helpful friendly staff.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Dan from Fairview, OR
“We arrived at the hotel a little early on Friday morning, the gentleman behind the counter acknowledge that we had reservations for two nights stay for Friday and Saturday night; he had no problem letting us check in at 940am on Friday morning. I was shocked, because most hotels do not allow check in until 2 or 3pm. Very nice staff, willing to go the extra mile to make their customers happy.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Faustino from Pawtucket, RI
“The outside of the hotel is modern, the inside is not. The rate for the room was fair-it was 2 rooms combined into one and had a stove a fridge in 1 room full bath, and a few other things. I went to relax on the stairs with my computer and some lady asked if I lived there, to which I said "no" she then said I better get off the stairs because she had a daughter. I am not a pedophile. I took offense to the comment, and the swagger at which she said it and the authoritative tone also. I then was asked by the staff to go to my room and not be on the stairs. I asked if it was because the stairs was a fire exit, to which the young lady said yes. There should definitely be a quiet area away from this lady and her kids who kept playing in the hall and running around. That was a distraction. When I was in the stairwell, at least if they were in one of the rooms, I had a place of peace for awhile. I would not recommend this hotel based on cleanliness, and the Gaul of some of the people staying there. Their kids had the run of the place, and they were allowed to address paying strangers any way they saw fit!” Hotel Representatives:
