• Excellent breakfast

“Not sure a shower in the corner of the room constitutes an en-suite. Had to share main bathroom with others. Did not know the hotel was no smoking until we arrived probably my fault though for not reading all information properly. Very welcoming owners breakfast was very good and they went out of their way to serve us early as we had to be on our way.”

• The owners are very friendly and the breakfast was superb!!

“We would definately stay here again. The husband and wife team made us feel very welcome. Our room had some history to it and the little bar in the hotel is full of character and characters. The breakfast was wonderful - overall we really enjoyed our stay.”

• Host very friendly and extremely helpful, excellent breakfasts. Room and bathroom a good size.
• bed rather hard, no heating in bathroom, (although bedroom was effectively heated).

“Appearance of hotel outside rather dismal, inside decor rather tatty. Room adequate except point re bathroom lack of heating. No evening meals available Sunday but good recommendations for local alternatives were offered.
Breakfast prompt, well cooked and presented, substantial. Owner cheerful, helpful, very pleasant company, enough to lift tone of stay. In summary I have stayed in better accommodation, however, it was not expensive and the charm of the people made up for the deficiency in the premises.”

• Friendly, comfortable and individual. Pleasant staff.
• A bit tatty in parts. Ordinary food

“Friendly hotel which was comfortable but in need of redecoration in parts.The proprietor is improving the hotel in stages. Food was pub grub with a limited menu.An enjoyable stay.”

• Fanatastic breakfast, VERY friendly staff
• No en-suite and possibility that the bathroom might be shared

“If you're looking for palatial comfort, don't stay in this hotel - if you're looking for friendly people, a cheap and cheerful attitude and an excellent (and very big) breakfast, DO stay in this hotel.”
