• Tired decor and dated bathroom fittings

“A lovely setting but the hotel itself was tired and in need of redecoration. Food only adequate.”

• location - hard working friendly staff - nice suroundings
• Could do with some TLC

“Nowhere to sit and relax, not enough tables & chairs in general area service could be better but was let down because staff manned reception, bar & served meal.”

• The hotel was very personnel and i was made to feel like a guest and not just another 'booking' as in some hotels i have stayed in

“Very enjoyable and relaxing, staff were very friendly and listened to me when i asked questions. Modern hotels are inpersonnel this one had character.”

• the room was good value and the food was lovely
• no electric socket except for 'table lamp' - needed to use hair straighteners!

“I spent a great deal of time trying to find a hotel that was on the outskirts of Milton Keynes but that was reasonably priced. This was the only one that actually seemed to fit both of those criteria. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel offered such good facilities for the price. We ate in the restaurant where the food and service was very good. I would have no hesitation in coming to stay again or to recommend the hotel to others. The only downside was the bad weather while we were there!”

• Good parking.
• Staff not very welcoming or friendly.

“Difficult to find. Had rather a feel of a haunted house, particularly as there were not many guests. We had a good evening meal and also breakfast. Meal times suited us.”
