• Inexperienced staff,smoky smelling rooms, poor decor and general run-down atmosphere.

“Generally not competitive in standard or price; would not have chosen to stay if known.”

• closeness to friends & relatives
• 1)The hotel had no record of my reservation when I rang to confirm our time of arrival.2) Shower water went cold after a short while

• people smoking in foyer which permeated the whole hotel;cold and uninviting; no mobile signal;

“the hotel was quite isolated ; for most of the time there were a lot of men sitting around in the foyer smoking and this smoke permeated the hotel;”

• Friendly attentive Staff
• Bed linen worn, bathroom linen worn, shower facilities did not work correctly

“The motel provided the basic needs for my stay only and gave me none of the female creature comforts I would have liked. The breakfast range was not extensive, i.e. unless you like a full english breakfast or basic continental breakfast your needs are not catered for.”

• bathroom facilities and appearance a bit dated. Like a 10 year old travel lodge

“I feel the motel is over priced for its appearance as it resembles a type of B&B accomodation. The shower curtain gives you a space of about 400mm from the wall to shower and i ended up leaving it off and getting the floor wet!! The hot water is at a scalding point which suggests the controls are dated. In all this was adequate for a short stay.”

• nothing - its was purely functional
• the smells - stale cooking and cigarettes

“The rooms for the guests who arrived just before us were not ready - the receptionist proceeded to tell the chambermaid off in front of the guests and ourselves - not very professional and demaning for the chambermaid.

Breakfast was not included in the price.”
