“Good, traditional English pub, with a warm welcome and good quality real ale. My room was very clean and newly furnished, very warm (a thermostat on the radiator would be a good idea)& comfortable. The full English breakfast had good quality bacon etc & overall this was ridiculously good value for money. I would definitely stay here again. There is a free car park (useful to know). The hotel is not easy to find from the M1 and a map (better than the standard one on the website) plus simple instructions on how to get there from the M1 would be helpful.” Dec 8, 2004 by

“We enjoyed our stay because the bad bits were hidden by the good bits.” Nov 1, 2004 by

“The room I occupied was one of a number above the bar and kitchen. The Hotel staff were very friendly, efficient and professional and the food was first-rate but my overall experience was negative for the following reasons: prospects of an early night were nil due to music until after 11:00 pm, sometimes until after midnight. The smell of kitchen utilites permeated the room after 6:00 pm. One bathroom with an inaccessible bath was inadequate. The single beds were hard, unconfortable and very single i.e. too small. Insufficient light available in room if one wished to read.” Oct 2, 2004 by

“excellent booking service, lovely hotel BUT the directions to it were terrible. Only after a long phone call on my mobile did we find it. Everythings else including the food was top class.” Jul 13, 2004 by

“Very good. Apart from being 'out of town', there were no complaints about the B&B. Wish I had eaten in the restaurant before my final night - food was excellent and staff friendly.” Jul 11, 2004 by
David from Sittingbourne, United Kingdom
“A good place to stay in a rural situation but situated near a town.” Hotel Representatives:
