“Recently stayed at the Arlanda Hotel, what a surprise!!! First impressions do count. Parking was non-existent and had to spend A#18 to leave the car in the street. Next was the front of the hotel. By the door way there were holes where the RAC and AA plaques have been removed, although they do seem to appear in all the pictures on the web sites. Remember this is a A#120 per night B&B !!! The hall and reception were very disappointing. Wall paper marked, torn and falling off the walls. Next was the payment on arrival, something I am not used to. When I saw the room I was very disappointed. It was described as a four poster double with sea views and balcony. Well the four poster description was correct, the sea views could be seen if you twisted your head out of the window. The balcony was not usable as the single glazed windows did not open, due to over painting and broken sashes. More tatty wallpaper on the walls and broken light bulbs. The DVD player worked but remember to bring your own DVD's. The floor was so sloping, it felt you were falling over. The pictures on the web sites did not match the room. Breakfast was OK but little things like cutlery, napkins, orange juice being regularly replaced would have been useful. Overall impression is that this hotel was very dated, need a complete renovation and charge realistic prices.” Apr 27, 2005 by

“Breakfast was only from 8.30-9.30am which is too early and too short a period of time for leisure travellers.” Jan 17, 2005 by

“I found the hotel provided goos service, however some slight wording, was wrong, on many times, in relation to the food menu. Dec 21, 2004 by

“Nice friendly small hotel. Take a taxi from the station. Suit active people who are happy to walk, bit out of the town but this makes it a nice quiet location. Only a short walk to the sea/pier. There are steps in to the hotel and stairs to climb. Wouldn't like to have a car to park there.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Nov 17, 2004 by

“Hotel was relatively old fashioned but fine. Pricey, but that might just be Brighton, at least it was central.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 13, 2004 by

“The hotel was very nice, the owner was pleasant and the food was very good. The room was large enough to be comfortable in and it was nice and clean, it was located in a quiet area but we was close enough to the town for all the entertainment. As we have been to Brighton before there was nothing that we did not need” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
