“My wife and I stayed at the Haytor Hotel for 5 nights in the July. The room was very clean with a lovely bed, excellent quality bed linen, throws and pillows. The tea/coffee and really yummy biscuits was re stocked daily of which there was plenty for all day. The breakfast was excellent together as was the excellent service we received for are waitress. The owners were really lovely and couldn't do enough we were greeted with a coffee and biscuits on are arrival at he hotel. The Haytor Hotel it set in lovely quiet garden and was so quiet during the night which was very welcome after are long walks around Torquay. The Hotel location was spot on I never moved the car from the moment we arrived until it was time to leave. We had a wonderfully stay at the Haytor Hotel and would highly recommended it to all that are planning a visit to Torquay.” Oct 27, 2004 by

“Good welcome from the staff that were helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is well located and the centre of town is only a short walk away. The hotel also recommended some nice restaurants which we found very useful.” Oct 14, 2004 by

“On arrival the staff were very welcoming, and offered tea/coffee/biscuits prior to check-in. The hotel was very close to the main resort, and just a couple of minutes walk from the local restaurants and shopping centres. The breakfast was ample and the staff were prepared to change the breakfast to suit your appetite. (Personally though i would prefer the breakfast to be available a little later.) The rooms were clean and in very good decorative order. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and staff during our stay, and would recommend it to others.” Oct 4, 2004 by

“It was a good base to explore the town centre on foot. The hotel was very clean and had friendly staff. There is a bar that serves drinks until 10pm. They give you a key to the front door so its not a problem if you want a late night. We enjoyed a continental breakfast in our room each morning. The hoteliers provide a list of local restaurants with recommendations which we found very useful.” Sep 14, 2004 by
