• Good, clean accommodation.
• Dreadful food.

“The overall accommodation was very good but the food was absolutely dreadful. The starters included raw bacon, the main course vegetables were cold, rubbery and in one case unable to be cut through! We had to wait ten minutes at a time at the bar for service and it would appear they were short staffed as the chef was helping with the clearing up. Very disappointing.”

• A bit of a walk into town but the taxis were very prompt.

“A good all round hotel. Much like Travel Inns and Travel Lodges but with a bar of its own!”

• Welcoming, clean and offered all the basic essentials. Centrally located.

“The hotel was easy to get to by car and was only 10 mins walking distance from the city centre. It was welcoming, clean and offered all the basic necessities/essentials. The staff were very helpful. Optional buffet breakfast was a little overpriced at '7.50 per person but the choice on offer was good. It's a real family hotel and the fact that dogs are accepted is great. The restaurant/bar next door offers lovely food and a great atmosphere.”

• No biscuits in the room!

“Particularly imnpressed with the decor and functionality of the room design, particularly the bathroom (excellent shower!). Broadband internet access for '6.95 a night was welcomed and relatively good value. Less impressed with the catering (food a bit bland). Overall, a very comfortable 2 night stay with friendly and helpful staff. For the money, would certainly recommend.”

“My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find the staff at the check-in desk very friendly and helpful. The room was well designed, comfortable and clean. We will definitely choose a Days Hotel again, when looking for affordable and comfortable accommodation in the future.”

“fire alarms were excesive, due to the steam from the bathrooms.
From 3 am & all morning. There was no notice on the bathroom doors to warn guests of this occuring if the door was not shut.

So get signs for the doors?!”

• the staff very friendly, hotel excellent, perfect location for Derby centre.

“We have no complaints at all about this hotel the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, this is not always the case at other hotels. We will use this hotel again when visiting Derby. We ate in the hotel in the evening and this too was very nice and reasonably priced.”

“Only problem I had with stay, was that night at about 2am in the morning it was very windy, which i know you have no control over, but something was loose on building and was making a noise constantley and that kept me awake. Apart from that everything else was good.”

• Great room, welcoming and helpful staff, excellent parking
• Food on offer seemed limited and eating area was a bit sparce and inpersonal.

“Great value for money, would have liked to have know limited menu, also breakfast was extra and pricey.”
