• Cosy yet funky, fantastic beds and bathroom, nice lounge area
• Bedroom smelt of smoke despite being non-smoking

“Great location about 5 minutes walk from Disbury. The hotel feels luxurious but not over the top, it's comfortable but modern and funky with a real attention to detail. I really appreciated the jug of fresh milk in the fridge in your room. The atmosphere is great with candles lit all around the hotel. The breakfast was fabulous - you'll be spoilt for choice but I'd really recommend the cooked Irish breakfast.
The only drawback was the fact the room smelt of smoke when I arrived and having to wait to be buzzed in through the front door. Minor complaints really - overall we had a fantastic stay.”

• The hotel is a beautifully maintained modern hotel. It is very comfortable and very personal with lovely touches.
• The food was not fantastic (although not bad either) but the ambiance and convenience of staying in made up for it.

“We had a really pleasant stay here. We could have stayed a week. Although it is outside of the centre of Manchester it is definitely worth the travel. Rooms are well sized and very well equipped. It is the right place to stay if you like modern, boutique style hotels.”

• We got upgraded for free to a very luxurious room with an awesome claw foot bath. The decor was a wonderful combination of victorian and modern.
• No complimantary breakfast and we got charged 40 pounds for tea and toast for 3 days. The TV wouldn't work on the third day.

“This was a lovely hotel and the best hotel we have stayed in in our price range in the UK. I probably would have liked to know about the breakfast tariff before I splashed out!”

• decor, ambience, furnishings - especially the bathroom in my suite, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, cleanliness
• Reception area - staff disappearing into rear room. Made mistake on bill - overcharging: room drink price; 2 breakfasts only had 1.

“I really enjoyed my stay ref 'likes' mentioned above. It makes such difference from staying in an standard 'box' hotel. You feel as if you have been a guest in someone's grand home.

Seeing the pictures on the internet, instantly made me want to stay there - although I could not have justified paying the standard rate.

And my stay lived up to expectations of a superior experience.”
