• Friendly staff; clean room + hotel; very good breakfast; convenient to public transport, esp. Metro.
• Small rooom; other guests were a bit noisy in corridor in middle of night.

“Nice clean room and hotel in general. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. Hotel/room facilities/equipment in good working order. Good food at bar/restaurant. Metro station (G-Mex) only 10-15 minutes walk away; other train stations (Salford Central or Deansgate0 15 minutes walk away. Good prompt taxi service.”

• We had everything we needed to be comfortable. Larger screen tv than most Hotels.

“Although the restaurant served a good breakfast it was let down by poor service on our first evening which put us off using the facility again. Some of the French waiters English was very poor, making it difficult to communicate orders.”

• The room and ensuite were very clean and comfortable.
• Checkin was only available after 3pm. As we were on an early flight this was a bit if a problem. We arrived in the hotel around 11am and all the staff said was to come back at 3.

“Overall i found my stay at the Campanile to be everything i expected. I was basically looking for somewhere to lay my head at the end of the night and that is what i got. I was in Manchester to take my mother to a show. We had a room each and both were very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and the ensuit bathrooms were both spotless.

The only down point on the whole experience was the noise from some of the guests untill aroun 2.30am. Ordinarily this would not have bothered me as i have been on anumber of holidays with friends and on occaision we have been warned about the noise ourselves, but on this occaision we had had a long day and sleep was long overdue.

As we did not eat in the hotel i can't comment on the facilities provided.

I would have no hesitation recommending the Campanile to any of my friends.”

“The location, on a retail park with pretty appalling walking conditions between there and the city centre, means I would not do it again. I don't mind walking, but the location/surroundings are a real turn off - nothing you can do about that. You could ask the City Council to cut the bushes overhanging the pavement on Ordsall Road!”

• Convenient location, secure car park, good facilities in room

“I have stayed at the Campanile many times and for the price it really does offer good value for money when compared with some other hotels I've stayed in. The facilities in the rooms are good - large double beds, hairdryer, bath and shower etc. Free car park which is securely locked at night. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.”

• The hotel room doors and the corridor doors were really quiet so we were not woken up the falling morning with other people leaving.
• It wasn't clear where reception was because it is in with the restuarant and it isn't clear whether just food or both check in for hotel as well

• very close to were i needed to be, shops very close by
• room very big,bathroom also very big, clean and comfortable.

• Proximity to attractions - shopping, football. Value for money, good service

“The hotel is very good value for money. The room was clean and had everything we wanted, television, hairdryer, tea making facilities. We were visiting Old Trafford, which was within walking distance, approx 25 minutes. Also about ten minutes drive from the Trafford Centre. Having a Sainsburys across the road was useful. The breakfast was good, and much cheaper than in other hotels we've stayed in. We would definitely visit again.”

• Good bathroom facilities. Good car park.
• Rather spartan. Room smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke. My fault for not specifying non-smoking. Soiled carpet. Uncertain of procedures in restaurant at breakfast and inadequate explanations. Staff spoke poor english but pleasant enough.

• Nice,clean simple rooms that had everything I could have wanted.
• Location was a bit far away from centre of Manchester

• Foam mattress. Too warm in bed. Normal spring mattress would be better.

“I was pleased with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the hotel. My request for a champagne bucket and glasses was met promptly but perhaps a little too promptly as it nearly ruined my suprise for my girlfriend!! however the booking process was simple and quick and i would stay at this hotel again in the future.”

• French hospitality and attention. Friendly staff attitude.
• Security for the vehicles was not apparent. Suggest that the duty manager tours the park every half hour in hours of darkness.

• Very good parking. Good restaurant. Young informed and attentive staff. Excellent value for money.

“We were on route from Suffolk to Scotland. We chose Salford as a stop off in order to visit Salford Quays and the Lowry in particular. Access from the M6 was simple and the Quays and Central Manchester proved very easy to reach. The Campanile was the perfect match for our needs.”

• Polite an attentive staff. Excellent quality food for the price.
• Room a bit basic. Pay TV not working.

“On-line booking system, directions made it simple to locate and arrange. Accomodation was a bit basic but the price very reasonable. The French staff were very good, so was with the food and service.”

“We arrived early but were pleasantly surprized to be able to check in straight away and after a long journey this was much appreciated.
We found our room to be very clean, tidy and welcoming. We slept well and found the facilities very good. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast before we left. Check out was quick and easy. The staff were very pleasant.”

• Nice bed, and soft 100% cotton linen.
• Breakfast portions very small for full english - i'd reccommend the continental buffet instead!
