  Motel arrangement.
  Smoking permitted in restaurant area.

“The 'reception' was not easy to find since it was at the end of the bar and not signposted.

Rooms were small but clean and tidy.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.”

• Courtesy of staff was 1st class and the quality of food in the restaurant surpasses many larger hotels.
• Room had no heating on prior to arrival so initially was very cold. Room is a bit basic but outwith value for the money.

“Using active hotels to find reasonably priced accomodation can sometimes land you in some poor quality hotels but The Campanile Hotel Cardiff showed how deliver 1st class service and value for money.”

• I thought the accomodation was very cosy but compact but liked the big bed
• Thought heater in room would give more heat, lighting was a little low.

• It was clean, comfortable, everything was in working order and it presented very good value for money.
• There was nothing not to like.

“We arrived later than expected but were able to have light refreshments and enjoy a drink without putting anyone's nose out of joint. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout the stay. The breakfast was well cooked, provided speedily and served with a cheerful Enjoy your meal. The staff allowed us to enjoy our meals without constant attention but were always aware and ready to offer any assistance and advice needed (Those self-service coffee machines are a devil to understand!)The room was all we could have expected. It was clean and tidy, everything worked and we were able to relax and had no cause to bother the staff over any deficiences. We would have no hesitation in recommending your hotel group to others seeking weekend, or longer, stays.”

• Good clean facilities and all on one level

“I requested Disabled Accomaodation becasue I find walking and stairs very difficult and yet I was placed at almost the farthest from the diavbled parking bays. I was booked into Room 2”

• room is comfortable if the heating is on;
• heating was turned off during the day; taxi was not on time even though ordered the night before; problems with receiving phone calls; some TV channels didn't work; Saturday night, guests around were very noisy (2.30 until 4.30 impossible to sleep);

• Good and very clean
• Not enough coffee/tea/SUGAR supplies only 2 brown and 2 white sachets of sugar per day

“I had asked for limted steps and as little walking as possible but I was not placed near the flat walk area from the car park. or in Disabled accommodation. I am an ambulant disabled so I can walk but only short distances and if possible NO steps. I discussed this with the clerk at check-in and I wrote it on my booking form BUT this was ignored except I was told I wasn't upstairs so at least that was OK.”

• Breakfast was terrible and bar was smokey.

“Unfortunately, didn't feel like I'd go back. I ordered breakfast (full English) but it wasn't cooked properly and I felt ill afterwards. Bar area was very smokey and didn't feel clean either. Overall not a good experience.”

• It was clean.
• The bath was really small.

“This hotel was good value for money. It was clean and had nice decor. The room was quite small but was adequate enough for two people. The only let down was that the bath was far too small, and the shower couldve been a bit more powerful. We had a pleasant stay and will stay in a campanile hotel again.”

“We Felt that the resturant was rather expensive for what it was, and the salad bar was very dried up and tired.
But the staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean.”

• Clean, Basic and perfectly adequate accomodation for a short stay
• No room service!

“A good, clean basic and comfortable hotel. Great for the odd night but probably not for longer. Good choice at breakfast. Staff friendly. Bed linen a little worn. Good value for money.”
