“This should not have been a 3* option hotel for Glasgow city centre, it is not central. It certainly should not be included in a name your own price option. It is not a disaster waiting to happen, it is a new hotel either badly managed, or in the wrong location or more likely - both.”

• Close proximity to city centre - 15 mins walk max.
• stag party - woken at 5:30 sat night to roaring/shouting in next room till 10am sun morning

“Directions were not featured on your web site from Glasgow Central Station. Nice Hotel, got what we paid for, would stay there again.

Some restrictions should be put on the amount of Stag parties allowed to stay at one time or maybe some considertion a”

“An excellent stay was had by myself and my six friends at the Tulip Inn. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were great. Would definitely stay again!”

• Hotel was very good to stay at, all the facilities were excellent.
  A reasonably secure car park was an advantage.
• Evening meals : 1st night steak was substandard, full of grissle
  2nd night pasta was served less than warm

“Generally a good experience except for the meals.
Some misunderstanding with check in staff who insisted on being provided with my personal credit card. This should not be the case when they have the company credit card details on the booking.
They even asked me to produce the company credit card when I checked out, which again should not happen.”

• Handy location, excellent parking, very clean.
• Poorly designed room, strange lift and a staircase more like a fire escape.

“If mine was an executive room, I'd be very disappointed with the standard offering at the rate charged. Poor design of the desk area and not one but two double beds (why?) meant that the space was used inefficiently. It was not possible to spread work stuff out and make a cup of tea - it was either laptop or kettle!”

• Excellent room and facilities, very spacious and I liked having an iron in the room
• Food was expensive for the quality and service, limited vegetarian options

“That their was an iron in the room so I hadnt waisted time beforehand. Apart from the limited food options for vegetarians and the poor quality of service particularily on the first evening my stay was good and I would use the Tulip again.”

• nice,reasonably luxurious for the price.
• nice big shower,but due to length of screen floor got awful wet

“excellent website booking service.Email response quick and informative.Directions excellent.Check in quick,room nice,bathroom nice.Not sure about no bath if staying longer than one night.Breakfast nice enough(apart from black pudding.tasteless!).”

• Spacious, well-equipped room. Convenient location. Reasonable price.
• Reading lamps by bed were too dim. The radio channels were inadequate - there was no BBC radio 3 or 4.

“This hotel is well thought out for business trips. It is easy to find, has good parking and all necessary facilities.”

• Close to Central Glasgow, accessible, good central heating in room.
• The shower tray was slippery when being used, had to hold on to prevent fall.

“The hotel was ideal for an overnight visit to Glasgow to see a show at the Kings Theatre. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable. Pleanty of tea and coffee available.”

• Happened to be conveniently located for my business.
• No substantial complaints.

“It's a fairly satisfactory hotel. The staff are pleasant and friendly, the room was clean and quiet. It would be useful to have better, faster internet access, including wireless at a business hotel.

Only one big complaint - the breakfast was poor, self-service baked beans and scrambled eggs that've sat sweating under heat lamps for two hours. I didn't then feel moved to try lunch or dinner, but from what I saw of other people's, these looked similarly unappetising and not freshly prepared. This might be a problem given that there's not a lot of other dinner options near the hotel's location.”

• Room was comfortable and also spacious bathroom.Not really qualified to comment further - was just one night stay.
• No complaints about accomodation - rooms at rear sometimes subject to noise from delivery trucks ( very loud audio warnings when reversing )

“Central location important - normally I would be booking a triple room for three adults so spacious bedroom would be important in that instance.”

• excellent service from staff and room was very clean and tidy. staff seemed to take a pride in the hotel standards
• menu could have been a bit better

“would have liked to have been booked on a bed and breakfast basis rather than room only but overall the hotel was excellent and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly”

• Clean, ample parking, value for money
• Too near Celtic Football ground

“On reflection I would've liked to have been warned about the proximity to the Celtic Football ground and the fact that there was a Derby on the weekend that we stayed. Due to this fact, we cut our break short and headed home as the hotel was overrun with fans.”

• Parking was very good. Directions to the hotel were clear and easy to follow.
• Shower cubicle let the floor flood.

“I would like to have a continental breakfast included in the nightly rate. Overall the room had very good facilities and the stay was comfortable.”
