• Our room was spotless with a good view of the main street - staff were very helpful indeed
• No facility for an evening meal.

“Very old and dilapidated rooms with a cleanliness which showed. The walls were very thin and carried sounds from next doors toilet habits!
Apart from that the Hotel was in the centre of the city and served our
purpose. We would definitely return”

“Room small but very clean. Friendly staff, good location, excellent breakfast. Overall, average value for money. Nothing incredibly good or bad about this hotel.”

• The location could not have been any better. On airport bus route and near castle.
• Reception workers were poorly located and reception area was used as left luggage place.

“The hotel was in a great location and the room was very nice. We got our double for 50 pounds which was a 55% discount. I would not pay too much more than that for the room. We arrived about 30 minuted before checkin and the recptionist was somewhat r”

• Total sound-proofing from main street. Reading lamps over bed. Efficient tea-making facilities. Clean well-equipped bathroom.
• Not keen on the plastic card method of opening door to room. Prefer proper key.

“The location is splendid, at one end of Princes Street, and handy for shops, station, castle etc. There is a bus stop to other areas of town just outside the hotel. The staff were very helpful e.g. we arrived before 8am off the night sleeper train but were able to wash, change and have breakfast upon arrival. The receptionist organised for our room to be cleaned first that morning and we had access before noon. The breakfast room had a good choice of cereals and fruit as well as hot dishes. The lounge was pleasant and relaxing.”

• Excellent location, good food, clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff.
• No parking.

“It would have been useful to know that parking would cost so much '12.50 for 24 hours. But the location of the Hotel was excellent, just at the top of Pricnces street.

The food was very good but we did had to wait on the Saturday morning for a table to come available and there was quite a crowd gathering.

The Hotel has recently been re-furbished to a high standard.”

• the accomodation was central to all of the sites we wanted to visit
• nothing that we did not like

“the price and the location of the hotel were the most important factors we considered when looking for accomodation. the only thing i would have liked to have seen a picture of one of the rooms before booking in line. we were both more than satisfies with our stay at the hotel. it is central to all and on the direct bus route from the airport.”

• Clean nice room, good breakfast, friendly staff, easily assesable
• Could improve the reception. The hotel is much nicer than what the reception portrays.

• hotel was basic but adequate. The facade of the hotel looks nothing like your image on email. very disappointing and wouldnt have stayed if I had had a true picture.

• The staff on arrival were very welcoming, room was clean and tidy although a little small
• Breakfast when it finally arrived was hot and tasty

“I appreciate that the hotel was full during our stay, but service at breakfast was very poor with many having to wait for tables to be cleared before being seated. Our bedroom was clean and tidy and the bathroom was spotless.”
