• the accommodation was a lovely oldey worldey standard with quirky sloping floors
• checking out the lady was very rude and off hand

• the tranquil location and the room overlooking the abbey (room 3)
• the floor was excessively noisy/creaking (room 3) most anoying!suggest you get it fixed.

“At the price I paid and given the fact I only stayed 1 night the overall experience was acceptable.The breakfast was excellent,the decoration apeared a little tired and I thought the facilities for a 3* were a little dated.The location of the hotel I felt”

• Heating not always working. Poor shower.

• Excellent rooms - we booked the superior rooms and found them to our taste.
• Lack of parking.

“I knew the parking was limited, but found it worse than I imagined, particularly as when parking opposite our room, the pigeons were somewhat overactive. However the staff were quick to respond to a request for cloth, water and bucket!”

• Warm, well furnished, quiet
• Main meal (Tikka) poorly presented, missing items stated on menu

“The detail before arriving was fine, although the directions were inadequate for arriving after dark. Turn left at a wooden sign doesn't work if you cannot spot the wooden sign.

A sample of the menu would have been a nice bonus”

• Bedroom was delightful 5' bed and modern fuirnishings. Food was excellent

• lovely building,pleasant staff,great food,
• only room for 3 cars to park on forcourt

“the hotel was lovely ,as were the staff and food and decor of the room , the only complaint was parking spaces , on the day i was there builders had a skip and equipment taken up 2 places.”

• Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location
• Limited on street parking only

“A really friendly hotel which has been extended from the original house into a terrace of old cottages next door. The rooms have recently been refurbished - the bathroom suite had not been replaced however and although perfectly clean could do with re-enamelling. No proper shower was a disappointment although the hand-held shower attached to the bath turned out to be very powerful.
Hotel is in a lovely location with views across to Wymondham Abbey opposite. Parking is limited to a few spaces on the roadside of the quiet street (1 hour limit in the day but unlimited stay between 6pm and 8.30am).

Will happily return.”
