• The plan of the living room and furniture were of an excellent quality.
• Main living room doors closed too quickly causing banging everytime they were used.

“Our two night stay at the apartment was on the whole an excellent experience and one which we will definately do again. The apartment was very clean and tidy with all mod cons. We hadn't realised that there was a dvd player in the television which was an added bonus for us. It was in an excellent location and had lovely panoramic views of the city via the huge windows which were the full length of the living room. We had anticipated eating in on the Monday night however this was the only night which the restaurant didn't deliver which was unfortunate and a little annoying on our behalf, although we did find somewhere ourselves. The apartment contained everything which anyone would need for a short stay (and a long one with washing machine in the kitchen!) and we had a lovely time and would definately use the hotel again.”

• The apartment had everything that we required and was very central to the city.

“Generally the apartment was exactly what we were looking for as a young family. It provided the amount of 'separated-up' space that we required. If I was to return I would request an apartment at the back of the block to reduce disurbance of sound, I would also have taken less 'just in case' stuff, as the apartment was well equiped.”

“When I booked the Days Serviced Apartments I was allocated rooms in the apartments near to the castle. However a very helpful member of staff called me to tell me that the location of the rooms had changed to a more central location. The Icehouse Apartments are absolutely lovely. They consisted of a living room with small kitchen area, bathroom with fantastic shower and a bedroom. All rooms were beautifully fitted and spotlessly clean, the living room looked out over the concourse outside the Arena/Ice Rink. The room has a washing machine and a fridge, a cooker and kettle and toaster, and most importantly...a corkscrew!
The bed was very very comfortable and in the wardrobes were an ironing board and an iron.
The accomodation is near enough to the train station to walk and located just a short walk from the main shopping areas.
I can't praise the rooms enough. Well worth the money.”

• Was good as more than just a hotel room.
• Wasn't 100% sure what to do when checking out as no one there in reception.

“We stayed in the 'penthouse' and it was perfect for a hen night as we had everyone in one flat. I would have liked to know what was actually included in the apartment as we found we didn't have any milk so couldn't have a cup of tea. There was also not enough towels for everyone or mugs and glasses. Next time I would bring these things with me. We did get a bit confused with where it was actually located and struggled to find the right entrance for our apartment number as we were looking on Ropewalk court and it was actually on Derby Road. Overall it was a good place to stay and I would use the apartments again.”

• the apartments had everything, washing machine, dishwasher, good location.
• Nothing we didnt like, we were very impressed.

“Would definightly stay again, it was home from home with all the mod cons, had difficulty finding the hotel, but staff were very helpful with directions. Just wish we could have stayed longer.”

• Staff were friendly and helpful
• No bad points. We all had a great time

“Car parking facilities were available at a cost of '8 per day and it was very secure.

The house keeping staff were very honest and an asset to the apartments as I forgot money and it was returned to me when found the next day.

Very easy access into the city and nice places to eat/drink only 5 mins walk.”

• Generally very impressive accommodation, very good appliances provided in apartment, very clean, modern and well equipped
• only one. No chests of drawers in the bedrooms to store smaller items of clothing

“As above. Happy with all aspets of the accomodation. Well equipped, modern and clean. Just what we were looking for”

• Clean, tidy, functional apartment. Good shower.
• Bathroom could do with better extractor and apartment would benefit from air conditionong as the only ventilation is by opening the windows and the location of the apartment means an excessive amount of noise comes from Derby Road below.
