• easy parking, closeness to city centre, location
• size of bed.

“at over 6ft, a double bed is too small for my wife and myself, yet to obtain a kingsize bed we would have had to pay more money. our stay was slightly marred by the fact that we didn't get much sleep due to the bed size”

• Very pleasant and well maintained garden. Wonderful views from bedroom.
• Cramped bedroom and very small en suite. Inadequate bath towels.

“Dinner at hotel was good in a very pleasant conservatory/dining room.

The walk back to the hotel from the city was gruelling as it is a very severe climb for most of the way.”

• hot tub, breakfast room, bar and staff
• bedroom a little cramped, particularly with a 4poster bed. Television poor reception, shower pressure low and erratic.

• Good value and close to city centre

“The hotel was perfect for our one night stay in Bath. Relatively conveniently placed close to the city centre - 10 to 15 min walk, with free car park

Room was clean and spacious.

We would stay here again”

• Good sized, clean room, well decorated - wonderful view!!
• Heated towel rail in bathroom not working. Night storage heater which could not readily be adjusted to cater for fluctuation of outside temperatures. Evening meal rather average.

• Too far from town centre

“The hotel was clean and the staff pleasant, the breakfast was good, however the hotel itself - its fixtures and fitting etc appeared jaded and a little tired - towel rails hanging of the wall, weak shower,none of the furniture matched and the smallest in room TV possible. The location of the hotel is only about 15 minutes walk away from the town centre - downhill, but the hike back up that hill is awful - we did it once and then had to take the car for the rest of our stay which meant one of us couldn't have a drink.”

• Close to Bath city centre with car parking. Good food.
• Ensuit a little cramped but adequate.

• Outdoor pool & spa. Good quality evening meal. Excellent selection of breakfast items.
• Top of a steep hill. At least 20-30 minutes walk from city centre.

• Pool and hot tub were fabulous, staff were very friendly, breakfast was nice, hotel was quiet and clean, and had great views.
• Lots of parking but poorly organised (need spaces marked), rooms were very small, especially as its meant to be a 'superior' room, and welcome book was hidden behind a wardrobe!

“Rooms were much smaller than expected for the price, bit of a disappoinment, but the outdoor pool and the hot tub more than made up for this. However the hotel was quiet and comfortable, very friendly staff and a nice breakfast. Would come back here for the hot tub alone!! Parking should be a bit more organised, but we had a very enjoyable stay.”

• Staff very friendly and helpfull. Facilities such as pool and hot-tub making the stay further enjoyable.overall a great weekend.
• Room was a little small, shower was not of good quality eg ran either very hot or cold.

“Information of accomodation was good, with easy transport directions.The hotel was clean with good facilities while staff were friendly and accomodating.Location made it perfect for a relaxing weekend of shopping,eating and relaxation.”

• Good food, ample parking, clean accomodation and friendly staff. Nice pool and hot tub.

“A clean, friendly hotel with good standard of food. The room we had was very small, two of us could not walk around easily without bumping into each other. Carpet in bedroom needed updating, shower and toilet very cramped with water temperature difficult to regulate.”

• Friendly staff; excellent evening meal
• rickety furniture (particularly bed); worn/fading soft furnishing; room located below dining area so noisy.

“This hotel is fairly and reasonably priced for a popular tourist rich city. It is well situated in terms of access to the city centre although the walk is neither senior citizen (unless particularly fit) nor movement impaired friendly being steeply down/up-hill. The meals are excellent. The bedroom occupied was clean but small although there was a comfortable sitting room/conservatory area within the suite. There are some signs of 'wear and tear' and the bed, in particular, was rickety. Early sleepers and/or late risers should be aware that some rooms are located below the dining room and are subsequently noisy overhead. This hotel is nevertheless good value for money and I would use it again should the need arise.”
