“Lovely place to stay, in great proximity to Bath. Gorgeous, individual rooms with loads of character. Great service, and really helpful for booking taxis and giving local advice.”

“The staff were very welcoming, and of a pleasant disposition. The wine list was good and not overpriced. I did not have the opportunity of dining in the hotel restaurant but the menu looked appetising and again, not overpriced. The owner was a most engaging individual who spent time talking with the guests”

• Extremely friendly staff. EVery nice location. Everything was very clean.
• The chain on the toilet was broken. The room was smaller than we thought. The bed took up nearly the whole room.

“Good: The staff was extremely friendly. They were very interested in who we were and how they could make our stay more comfortable. They even catered to us when we came in late at night and asked for a drink. The location is very nice, with some nice restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

Not as good: The room was much smaller than we thought it would be. The bed took up nearly the whole room. Also, there was only a bathtub, no shower. Finally, the breakfast only being served at one time was inconvenient.

Conclusion: This hotel room was not worth the amount we paid, primarily because of the size of the room.”

• Modern day business people look for a shower in their room and not a bath
