• The setting in the city was ideal. Just a pleasant walk to all the major sites. The owner is very attentive and the breakfast is great. New bathroom fixtures were very nice.
• Some people like hard matresses. I found mine too firm. A tough climb to the third floor but a great view when you got there.

“I needed an affordable value in my hotel. This hotel is old and the carpeting is worn but it is a great value and a great place from which to visit the remarkable historic city of Poitiers. I'd come back with pleasure.”

• Very convenient, easy (uphill) walk from the station (10 mins up, 5 mins down); extremely nice and helpful staff; spacious room (basic furnishing which is what I expect)

“Some people might like to know that although it is central they might not think of the fact there might be a disco next door; people were leaving quite late. This is not a problem if people expect this from a central hotel!
On the good side, the area is delightful, Poitiers is very human scale town with lots of things to see and nice walking areas. The big plus for me was the walking in the Valle de la Boivre only a couple of km out of town.”
