“The bathroom had broken tiles and it looked as if it weren't properly cleaned. There was a horrible odor in the hallway and the room. The rooms should've looked as nice and clean as the lobby.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Liz from San Jose, CA
“The location was horrendous. We described the difficulty we faced, and asked for a map for when we went into Venice. The man at the reception desk said we did not need one and then gave us bad directions back (the lack in specificity of the directions was later confirmed by another hotel employee). We were lost almost another 2 hours. We later learned there were maps and he just wouldn't give it to us. I also saw the same employee being rude to another guest. The facilities were nothing close to four star. The carpet in the hallway was dirty. The rooms looked run down. The door frames chipped. There was only lukewarm water for the shower and the shower head had a leak, which decreased the pressure (we had two rooms, and neither had hot water). When we tried to use buy internet time, the directions for use were vague. Although it said we could log off, and safe our minutes, we could not. Each of these items was told to personnel, so it was not that we tried to remedy the issues. The only saving grace was the reception manager of the day.” Jun 6, 2008 by

“This hotel was very good for the value. We wanted to eat somewhere local for dinner, but on a Sunday, nothing was open until 7:30 pm. Staff directed us to an excellent pizzaria where we dined for 2 nights. Was expecting to be in Mestre, but actually were quite a ways away. We had to take public transportation to get to train station. If hotel were in Mestre, probably could have walked. Good WiFi service, but had to pay for it. Overall an excellent stay, but location was not what we were expected.” May 29, 2008 by

“Overall, our stay at this hotel was quite a pleasant one. You'll save a bundle by staying in this hotel and not directly in Venice proper. This savings will allow you to splurge on a gondola ride and pricey Venice restaurants and shops. Guilt free. The staff at the hotel was very polite and courteous. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was brilliant (very important after walking through Venice for up to 12 hours a day). If you don't fancy a large breakfast in the hotel, the sandwiches, pastries and fresh squeezed orange juice offered at the adjacent petrol station cafe are a tasty and reasonable alternative. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.” May 28, 2008 by

“This hotel would have been very good it there was a working air conditioner. The desk said it should be fix soon. This did not happen during my stay. The room was stuffy and with only one window there was no cross ventilation. The hotel would have been fine with air conditioning.” May 27, 2008 by
Marc from Randolph, NJ
“Hotel was neat and clean. Staff were friendly and spoke English. food was good. AC didn't work.” May 23, 2008 by
Gaby from Santa Monica, CA
“My husband and I made a write complain about the air conditioner. We spent 2 nights, and it was very hot in our room. We asked the manager, and he told us, that they didn't have the instructions to put in function, and he said, that if we want, we can write a complain, and he will answered us. Nobody called us! and there wasn't a sign in the page explaining the situation of the air conditioner, its obvious that the hotel has air conditioner. We are very upset.” May 13, 2008 by
Anne from Tarpon Springs, FL
“The staff was very busy and appeared impatient, they weren't willing to help such as assist with the luggage or allow us to bring our coffee we purchased in the breakfast to our room, even though we had already bought it from their hotel. There were always huge lines awaiting to speak to the receptionist and then they would at times stand behind the desk talking about personal stuff ignoring the guests.” Aug 31, 2004 by
Johnny from Union City, United States
