“This hotel room was dirty. The safe didn't work and despite several attempts by us to get it fixed, nothing was done. Signs all over the room telling us turn this off turn that off don't use the air. Like we were going to leave the door open when they don't even leave their beach chairs unlocked at night. Getting the complimentary breakfast was like signing up for prison food. It was very disappointing. So much so that we almost left.” Mar 2, 2007 by

“My overall experience was very good. I was with a family group of 10 of varied ages and everyone had a great time. The rooms were spacious, clean, friendly staff, great on site dive shop and located on a fantastic beach. The property is currently going through a time of owner change, but it felt like the hard part was behind them and they are on their way back up.” Feb 28, 2007 by

“This hotel looks and feels like it is 20 years old and needs updated. Every room is different as they are owned by individuals and not a hotel chain. Some rooms had updated interiors and some did not. If something was not working, don't count on getting it repaired anytime soon. A beach bar that closes at 3:00 pm is you kidding!” Feb 26, 2007 by

“Do the people who manage this resort ever go there? it needs everything! Their advertising is false. He tennis courts are not used and are covered with sand. lights on paths are burned out. thank goodness for the store (which is not owned by the resort). we were very disappointed and were almost unable to stay there due to the run down condition of the room. which had notes everywhere telling us to "turn this off, don't use this. the TV only works a certain way. the fan should be adequate to keep you cool. "etc. the room our friends were in had a stove top that was so greasy and rusty it made you sick to look at it. their room smelled musty. it's just really a shame that this resort isn't maintained as it is one of the most beautiful places on the island. again. Should be ashamed of themselves for luring unsuspecting travelers there with false advertising.” Feb 12, 2007 by

“The first suite we were given didn't have any electricity. The second suite although clean was in desperate need of renovation. More than half the lights did not work. None of the doors worked properly. The shower was a disaster. There were ducks swimming in the pool, it wasn't particularly clean and there were no working lights in the pool area so we were unable use it in the evening. There were no open restaurants or even a bar on site so we had to leave the property every night for dinner. The complimentary breakfast was a joke. Two days there was no fruit! The bill. It was never clear to me what the charges on the final bill (20%) beyond the room basic room rate covered. When I checked out I wasn't given an itemized bill. When asked we were told the printer wasn't working? Although the location was great I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 3, 2007 by

“Sapphire beach resort could be an awesome vacation resort but as it stands now it isn't. Currently the resort has internal problems which affect the amenities offered guests. The restaurant was closed and so were the bars. Little seems to be done to keep up the rooms. The kitchen stove was old and the refrigerator rusty although both worked. The ac functioned well but the mildew smell in the room was strong. The continental breakfast was meager. Staff members were friendly and helpful for the most part. With all the troubles nothing beats this resort's location. Hopefully in a year or two the place will be a 4 or 5 stars instead of the current 2 to 2.5 I give it.” Hotel Representatives:
