• Close to the ocean.
• No parking!

“This hotel was disappointing. The rooms air conditioning system wasnt functioning properly, the bed wasnt much better than the floor, and we could hear the lady next door moaning. Nice. The seals at La Jolla cove made the whole trip. Go see them if your in the area.”

• Room was clean.
• Hotel is noisy close to narrow street, everything echoes. Parking costs 12.00 dollars.

“Good for a short stay for business traveler. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hotel is noisy next to a narrow street where everything echoes. Hotel was possibly remodeled but you can tell the hotel is old. Costs $12.00 to park not included in cost.”

• Very close location to the shore and La Jolla Village.
• Paying $12.00 a day for parking.

“It was nice enough and had a great location. The room was clean and large. Unfortunately, our view was of the parking lot at ground level, not very nice. The staff on duty at the time of our arrival was not very friendly or helpful. Also, paying for parking seems a bit out of line. You're already paying to stay there.”

• Convenient to la Jolla and other local attractions for the price i paid.
• Wall has no sound proof. I could hear just about everything coming from the next doors.

“For the budget, no complaints. Got kind of noisy at night when I could hear the activities from next doors. While falling asleep is not a problem like many other tired travelers, my experience with the hotel = above average. thumbs up.”

• Location in the heart of La Jolla.

• Convenience of location.
• The lack of available heat.

“La Jolla is a 5 star area so even the best western tries to keep up. It's clean, smells good and has friendly staff. The beds are less than comfortable and evidently heat is only available until April (don't forget to request a small room heater, they didn't tell me it was available until checkout, but I guess they do have those) which means the marine layer can make it chilly. They don't have a restaurant facility but they do offer a decent continental breakfast spread with a plethora of fresh & tasty coffee.”

• Clean, location, breakfast just ok,
• Having to pay $12.00 per niter to park in their parking lot.

“Very good all around stay. Hotel was clean, about a 3 star rating. Pool was clean, outside area and parking was clean. Bedding could have been up grated. There were no mice. Oven or refine the room, which would have been nice.”

• Conveniently located-near beach, dining, shopping.
• Noisy.

“This is a basic, no-frills hotel. The main advantage is the proximity to the beach, shopping and dining. However, from our 2nd-floor. Room facing the pool, we can hear all the noise from people using the pool as well as traffic noise. Housekeeping staff responded promptly to our requests. Front office person who checked us in hardly smiled.”

• Great location
• My room was freezing and the heat/air conditioning control directions did not work

“Overall experience very good, except for very cold room (I did not call down to the desk because it was late in the evening when I got back from business meetings) and my initial check-in hassle: the desk clerk somehow registered the wrong person when she keyed in the computer record, so she had to redo and I had to haul out my credit card again, watch her shred the original, etc.”

• Close to the beach, restaurants and shopping.
• The room didn't smell good.

“The people in the front desk were not too friendly and when I booked my room it said that someone will escort us to our room that also didn't happen. Truly I only liked it because of the conveyance.”

• It was in walking distance of what seemed like everything, ocean, shops, places to eat, etc..
