• The view of the beach .
• The price

“This Hotel was OK. We did have a great view. We had a balcony on the beach. The room was nothing special in fact the only thing that was great was the view. We had stayed in a Holiday Inn in Laguna Beach for 2 nights prior and for half the price and felt the room was just as nice if not nicer. We paid for the view! ”

• Large room. close to the beach.
• Nothing.

“The Sea Lodge is a quaint hotel situated on the beach in La Jolla. The rooms are large and have a small kitchen. Although it is a bit difficult to find and off the beaten path the placement is wonderful and within a short ride to all major San Diego freeways.”

• Very well located on the beach and easily accessible. Clean and the hotel staff was most helpful.
• Rooms were noisy, very little sound proofing between rooms.

“This hotel was nice and right on the beach in La Jolla. I would recommend this for family stays with children. Excellent dining facility as well.”

• Our Garden Suite located by the pool also had a view to the ocean.
• Pool and hot tub were a bit small for the size of the hotel.

“This is a wonderful hotel in a great location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the courtyards are beautiful. This hotel also has convenient access to the beach with complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels.”

• The location right on the beach was the saving grace for this hotel.
• Under construction with limited elevator service, lots of noise, and poor signage.

“This hotel's location was its saving grace. The crashing waves and fun to watch surfers took away the bitter taste in my mouth. Rooms were screamingly outdated and very basic. There's coffee in the lobby but you wouldn't know it from the front desk staff. I found it on my own. I asked to be seated outside when dining in the restaurant and then suffered my request as servers didn't notice I was there. I think I sat for 17 minutes one time without so much as a glass of water. Not sure if I would stay here again. Loved the location and I was close enough to activities in San Diego. This hotel, however, really left a lot to be desired.”

• rooms are not the nicest.

“good service. rooms not great but clean. Great neighborhood, and right on the beach. Hotel restaurant is excellent. Nice heated pool. Good maid service.”

“Older hotel, bad location if you're traveling for business, good location if you are on vacation. I was on business. My room was not clean and had a very strong mildew odor. They had no other room to move me to, so I had to go to another hotel at 9pm at night. Work out room closed. Very bad experience overall!”

“The Sea Lodge at La Holla was extremely nice. The location was perfect; on the water and in a very exclusive neighborhood. Also, it was close to Old Town and other popular attractions. The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, and a large comfortable size. I would stay there again.”
