• Although it was rated only 2. It received higher customer reviews than the three stars hotels and they proved to be correct. It was very clean.

“Exceptionally clean and friendly staff. Good breakfast, just wish they would change it slightly from day to day. Staff was very friendly. Better than my experience with the three star hotels in the area.”

• Friendly staff, very helpful, great cookies and coffee, nice comfortable pillow top beds.
• Roads were closed getting the Inn. Lots of road construction.

“Located in a quiet part of Cherokee. The staff was so helpful and recommended some very good places to eat. The real treat was the complimentary warm cookies waiting for you with their tea or coffee. Beds slept very comfortable............”

• The mattress was great and I liked that the sink, coffee pot etc was in the hall and not actually in the bathroom.

“Overall this hotel was a good experience and in a good area of town but hard to find because of the construction that is going on in Cherokee. It is a little further from the Casino but near the good eating places and we enjoyed the food in Cherokee very much.”

• Clean comfortable friendly staff. Good breakfast.
• It was not luxurious, but I did not really want Luxury.

“Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. The other clients were friendly and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was satisfying. The AC worked well Nice pillows and 2 very nice queen size comfortable mattresses and a generous sized fridge in the room.”

• The hotel was extremely clean and I could see that as soon as I walked in the door.
• The hotel wasn't next to the place we were planning to go to it was about 5 miles away.

“I was satisfied with the room, but found a room for the next night cheaper. I thought priceline would save me money, but on this hotel it didn't.”

• The decor was very nice, and the linens and bedspread were nice too.
• The morning staff (staffing the complimentary breakfast) could be friendlier (they didn't even make eye contact or acknowledge me).

• Very clean, beautiful landscaping and flowers appeared new, great bedding!
• The AC in the room rattled loudly and the noise woke up off and on all night.

“After riding around in Cherokee, NC. I can tell that this was one of the better lodging choices for the area. I was so glad that we were at this place rather than some of the other options! The hotel looked new and grounds had gorgeous landscaping and flowers. The bedding was wonderful, very soft and luxurious. The complimentary breakfast was the usual assortment of fruits, yogurt, cereals, bagels, toast, and pastries and was very nice. They also had a complimentary USA newspaper. The only problem I had was that the AC was very noisy in the room. It had a horrible rattle that woke me up off and on all night. I should have asked for a different room but I was too tired to make the effort by the time I realized it was going to be a problem. Overall, it was a good place to stay.”

• New, spacious rooms. Impeccable. Surprised to have fridge/freezer and microwave. Wow. Hotel staff was delightful. extremely nice and helpful.
• We really enjoyed everything about our stay at Baymont.

“My husband and I are from Michigan and stayed in Cherokee hoping to find a nice place to stay that was close to other activities. It turned out the hotel was a perfect location. We were able to go to nearby cities and white water raft, ride the train, go hiking, etc. Then at night, how fun. the casino was right in town for something exciting and dramatically different to do during our day. We were most impressed with all of the amenities (microwave, fridge/freezer, etc) in the room. The room was spacious and impeccable. Laundry facilities were right around the corner in our hallway. Continental breakfast was very good and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful which is hard to find these days. The staff here were friendly and genuinely available to us. We are already planning our trip and staying at Baymont next year. It was like a diamond in the rough! We do a lot of traveling and couldn't have been more pleased at the Baymont. We feel like we got a steal!”

• Room was very nice.
• Hotel staff acted like they didn't care whether we stayed or not.

“I will likely look for another place to stay the next time that I am in the area and will not recommend this establishment. It was not worth what we were charged for the second night. I will recommend to all of my friends and associates going to the area to look elsewhere.”

• Super small bathroom, very small room, poor HVAC.

“Motel is centrally located next to High School with very small rooms and super small bathroom. Free continental breakfast but the Danish are dead bread and suspect. Worth it for the coffee though. Lady behind desk is dingy. My only bad trip after 40 years.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Only had smoking rooms which were very smelly.

“This hotel is located off the main road which was nice. The staff was friendly. The rooms were comfortable, the beds had pillow tops on them. The only negative thing was the room we were in, even with the carpet being cleaned smelled like smoke which hit you every time we opened the door. We breezed the room over and over just to be able to stand to stay in the room.”

• Slightly off the beaten path, yet only minutes to the casino or mountains.
• Pets are allowed to stay in the rooms, you hear the dogs barking while walking down the hallways.

“My second time to stay at this hotel. Provides a fair selection of items for the free breakfast, luggage carts to assist bringing in the suitcases, free USA TODAY newspapers. Rooms have a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and good selection of television channels. I just can't believe they allow pets to stay in the rooms.”

• Awesome beds! very clean and friendly.
• At first we thought it was out of the way, but it was just out of the traffic.

“A great hotel for someone not needing or wanting to pay for a lot of razzle dazzle. It has a great breakfast. Rooms are very clean. The beds are pillow-top. The managers are awesome too. Very nice people here to get you to great local restaurants and local sights. It is also close to the National Park entrance!”

• It was very clean inside and out.
• We could not get a non smoking room, our room smelled of smoke strongly.

“The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly, but it was not as close to stores and places as I would have liked and at breakfast the next morning they never would refill the orange juice container.”

“This hotel was well worth our money. My husband and I liked it very much. It was a last minute reservation and we were pleased with the hotel. the staff member were very helpful and friendly. I like the fact that they offered shuttle services to the casino nearby. We did not like the fact that the third floor where we stayed smelled like cigarette smoke. Other than that this hotel was great!”
