• I liked nothing about this hotel. It was a flat out rip-off.
• There was nothing to like.

• The hot tub.

• We were able to keep our poodle with us.
• There were mushrooms growing in the bathroom ceiling.

• The staff was very friendly and the location central.
• Prop is in need of a Reno. Clean but old and slightly worn.

“This hotel is well situated to all the sights and attractions. The staff was friendly if not a little overworked and stressed to the max. The air conditioners in the room don't offer proper temp control. In this southern place you either had to freeze or burn there was no middle point. The bathrooms were cramped and damp. No exhaust fan. The award winning food was a true no go. It was awful at dinner and we wasted to much money the night before to bother trying their breakfast. Even the coffee was bad.”

• Convenient, good food.
• Really nasty bathtub, made me wish I had brought shower shoes.

“This is a great hotel for families etc. The food is a little expensive (buffet is 7.95 at breakfast and as much as 21.95 at dinner) for larger budget conscious families, and you have to remember to order from the regular menu and the kids menu for that Kids Eat Free guarantee. I felt that I over paid for the room, it just was not worth the price that I paid for it. ”

• I like the mountain scenery around the town this hotel is located in.
• I did not like the fact that we had dirty clothes and trash under the bed in our room from other people before us.

“I think the hotel is a bit over priced for what it is. The lobby area was clean, the pool area was very hot, and cluttered. The room was dirty, we had dirty clothes, trash, and a cooler stuffed under the bed of our room from a former guest.”

• Easy to find convenient location to casino.
• Way overpriced for the room we got.

“Older hotel with fair to poor rooms. Paint peeling spider webs in bath tub. For the price we paid I won't stay there again. Try a different hotel if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay at! A few extra dollars in Cherokee make a huge difference in your hotel stay!”

• Room was clean and location was good.
• Pool location.

“Hotel was clean and convenient. Didn't like the fact that all rooms open to outside (motel). We had to cross the parking lot and climb a long stairway to get to the indoor pool. The pool area was nice, but very inconvenient with small children. I chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool, so I was disappointed by the hike to get there.”

• It was clean inside and out. great location.
• It did not have a refrigerator that was all I didn't like.

“I would stay at this motel again. It is clean the sheets are changed. I was expecting to have a fridge which it did not. But that isn't enough to give them a bad evil. the staff was very helpful.”

• The room was very warm, we enjoyed the cable and a good night's rest.
• The rest room wasn't sanitary enough.

• It was close to all the shopping malls and not too busy traffic wise.
• Well the first night we were up till 2am from the sound of barking dog next to us and the next night we were up till 3am due to our neighbors above.

“It was a nice room for the price. The only problem we had was that the walls are to thin we were up two nights in a row due to barking dog and kids running and jumping above us. I complained to the staff 3 times each night and still did not get much sleep.”

• Great location.
• Front lobby too far from rooms for fresh coffee.

• I liked how it offered a restaurant and gift shop there.
• It's a motel setting, and the ice machines were in a scary part of the hallway.

“Outside entry. The ice machines were located in a corridor that I was not fond of visiting, but since I needed ice, I did (but I very cautious and alert, and ran the whole way back to my room). I did like their restaurant and the gift shop though.”

• The hotel was quiet, clean, and the room well equipped.
• Don't eat in the restaurant. Food over priced for taste and quality. Microwave and frig in room would be a plus.

“The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff friendly. It was well worth the price and I would definitely stay there again. But I would not eat at the restaurant. I ate at their Friday night buffet. The food was almost cold, and tasteless. The staff tried to keep up with the service, but were overworked. The only part that was very good was the crab legs. I did enjoy them. I'd rate the hotel a 9, but the restaurant only a 4. Go to Shoneys!”

• Overall, hotel was more than adequate. We enjoyed the buffet restaurant, food was escellent and music was nice and soft. Staff was accommodating.
• Bathroom fixtures were old & commode leaked. TV remote did not work and it took two personal request to get a different one.

• Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and staff went out of the way to be helpful.

“Staff was very helpful and rooms were nice. When our TV remote quit, staff came to our room with batteries in a matter of minutes to replace. When we needed a place to park our trailer for an extra day, they accommodated that need as well.”
