• Attractive, high quality.

“Convenient to airport, dining expensive. More business oriented than for tourists, but a very nice hotel. I was dissappointed when I couldn't use the pool for an entire weekend as it was closed for maintenence”

• Rented two rooms, both smelled bad. It was pretty disgusting.

“Lots of problems with this hotel: Parking was $25/night, food was $30 for a egg breakfast, rooms smelled disgusting. Got two rooms, one for the kids, and the hotel couldn't/wouldn't put them near each other unless we upgraded to a suite.”

• Large clean rooms, and helpful staff.

“Great place if you don't need internet access. Very clean, very nice staff, great access with a tram stop just out front to go downtown, or to the airport. My big issue is the $35 per day they want for internet access is appalling in this day and age. Heck, my hotel in Paris, and in the Alps around Interlaken both had free internet, yet a random hotel on the outskirts of Zürich wants a ridiculous sum. Obviously this is important to me, but if you don't care, it's a great place to stay.”

“Very close to the airport. A tram was located across the street which took you to the airport in about 10 minutes or into town in about 15 minutes. It was located in an industrial area and not centrally located near shops or restaurants. Very nice hotel if you wanted to stay close to the airport.”

• The staff was very friendly and spoke English. It is conveniently close to a tram stop.
• We didn't know ahead of time that we had to pay an extra tax of 5 Franks upon checkout.

• Charged me $5 tax a night local tax.

“High comfort level with direct tram connection from airport and to city center. Comfortable Marriott bedding. Nice fitness and spa. Staff treated all guests the same regardless of status or type of booking.”

• Luxury Hotel near the Zurich Airport.
• No nearby shops or restaurants.

“Excellent airport hotel near the Zurich Airport. Very luxurious and comfortable. The hotel is dead center in an industrial office complex. As a result, there are no restaurants or shops nearby. The 11 line tram takes you directly into the center of Zurich in approx. 20 minutes. Would recommend the hotel as a stay over for an early/late flight. Otherwise, it's only 10 minutes by train to the center of town.”

• The hotel was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable.
• It was very expensive and the restaurants did not offer a variety of food.

• The hotel had excellent facilities, great gym and a heated pool for the kids.
• It wasn't suited for families, but we knew that. Most five star hotels aren't!

• A way to solve tight connection at airport.

• The room was very nice.
• The maid service wasn't that great and the hotel claimed they had no available non-smoking rooms when I arrived so I had to stay in a smoking room.

“The hotel is a nice 4-star hotel, close to the airport and public transportation. Some of the front desk staff were very helpful and polite, others not so much. The maid service was not exceptional - they forgot to provide the complimentary tee and coffee tray. There was parking available at the hotel, but at a cost of 24 CHF per night. Otherwise, the room was very nice and clean.”

• Main residence in Zurich!
• Pool was closed for renovation. One of the best hotel pools in the world.

• Everyone was very friendly and professional. The hotel was plush and relaxing.
• Our room was hot and never cooled down even after they sent a mechanic.

• Gorgeous comfortable room and nice fitness area.
• Nothing.

“The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the airport, in a business district. It takes about 20 minutes to get to downtown Zurich using the tram stop that is in front of the hotel. The pool, hot tub, and fitness area were great. The lobby has a koi pond and is amazingly beautiful. I would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in Zurich.”

• The complimentary fruit basket was amazing.
• The phone connection charge to a toll free number was quite excessive.

“I've stayed in about 40 hotel rooms worldwide in the last three months. This one was certainly in the top two. Spacious, well appointed, with a great fruit basket and complimentary chocolates. It would have been a fine hotel at the list price. ”

• My home in Switzerland.
• Restaurants are expensive, but then it is Switzerland.

“I love this hotel and it is my home in Switzerland. Where I stay when I first land in the country and before I leave. They have one of the greatest hotel swimming pools I have ever enjoyed. Staff are friendly, speak fluent English, and they take care of the guests. This is an awesome hotel! ( I miss the pool)”

• Very comfortable & the Club Level Service was very nice.
• Bathroom had some mold, AC wasn't fully working.

“This hotel is conveniently located near the Zurich airport & offers a shuttle service to/from in addition to many other 1st level services. The bed was very nice & the room was very accommodating. Club Level services provided supplementary meals/snacks of the highest quality in a comfortable setting. Gym & Spa services were full but in a minimum (of underground) space.”

• Smoking allowed in restaurants and lobby.

“Very pretty, excellent fitness room and pool. Staff was extremely good, friendly and efficient. The room was upgraded to a Luxury Suite! Quiet rooms, no airport noise. Shuttles were free and on time to airport. Food and service in Asian restaurant was fantastic.”

• Large room and very comfortable bed.
• Although the room was for non smokers, it reeked of cigarette smells on all the linens.

“Nice hotel near the airport. nothing to do there other than catch the plane, no where to walk to, restaurants were expensive, we went to the only near bye restaurant which was reasonable, it was Italian. Other than the room smelling of cigarettes which was intolerable, I would recommend the hotel. the price was right, but had we had to pay the actual price, it was way too pricey for me.”

• It is my home in Switzerland. Great service, love their pool.
• I am a Marriott Silver member and they never upgrade me.

“Good hotel and I enjoy being there. It is my home in Switzerland and they recognize me as a frequent guest. They have an incredible swimming pool that I enjoy every time. They even have longer hours.”

• Great hotel. Excellent beds. Many European hotels have firm beds. They have very comfortable beds.
• The Hilton and the move pick are 10 minutes closer to the airport but this is just a minor difference.

“Excellent overall. It is in an office building area. Not an area where you could go out for a walk or to find restaurants. But inside, the hotel is mighty comfortable.”

• Extras (parking, food, mini bar) are ridiculously overpriced.

“We had a good time in this hotel. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable The rooms facing the inside court are 100% noisy free. The ones facing the back get a little noisy from the train tracks. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The down side is that all the extras are extremely overpriced. The only extra we needed was parking ( no public/street parking outside the hotel).”

• Restaurant was not open for dinner at 8:00 pm.

“Very nice hotel, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and top notch beds. We had a problem with the heating not working in one of our rooms and didn't like the fact that the restaurant was closed for dinner by the time we got to the hotel(8:00pm). We also had to pay an extra 5.00 CHF in "City Tax" which surprised me.”

• Tricky access, small signs pointing to hotel.

• Very upscale, comfortable, and clean.
• Horrible location! Nothing to see! No restaurants!

“The Renaissance is by far the highest class of the Marriott properties. And, the Renaissance Zurich did not fail to impress. The staff is very helpful, even going so far as to help my with my German. The problem is that the leisure traveler will not find anything to do close by and will either have to take a shuttle to the city center (cost not included) or to the airport to the mall (free).”
