• The location to the main city attractions and train station.
• The room size and amenities.

“Overall our stay was fine. However we had a bag of chocolates from Vienna that were in a plastic bag disappear when the room was cleaned. After calling housekeeping, they somehow were able to locate the bag and return it to us.”

• The beds were so comfortable!
• The breakfast was very expensive.

“We had stayed in other hotels in Europe. This hotel room was by far the best. Clean and the beds were the best! The location was very convenient.”

• It was relatively safe.

“Would definitely not recommend this hotel, which is a Holiday Inn level, perhaps two stars. On contesting charges for two days of breakfast, I had to speak to the manager. I was told the breakfast was included and the mgr. Said, "you were told wrong; the charge applies". There was no recourse. I was steaming mad. I got the worst room in the whole hotel after vastly over-paying and saw businessmen who were being walked from the Marriott, checking in after I did, being given preferential treatment.”

• Centrally located with comfortable room and amenities. Friendly and helpful staff.
• I liked everything about this hotel.

“The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to the railway station and bus services. It is also within walking distance to the famous upscale shopping and dining areas. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous and gave me all the assistance I needed. The apple cider served in the lobby was delicious!!”

• Hotel staff were quality individuals.
• The hotel bar / restaurant were way lame / old fashion.

“The hotel was very convenient to the train hop ban and the hotel staff was very accommodating. I only wish I had been steered away from the very old fashioned hotel bar / restaurant and encouraged to visit some place younger and way hipper. Thanks.”

• Bathroom was very clean and modern.
• Room was very small for a double.

“The room was very nicely furnished but too small to move the one chair to a different location. The bathroom was very clean, attractive and well stocked. The TV had a range of channels in English which is nice to find in Europe. The location was on the outer fringe of the central part of the city so be prepared to walk. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful.”

“Great room with fantastic beds and great bathroom. Never felt bothered by cleaning staff and had great staff and concierge service.”

“A true 4 star hotel, the Sofitel Zurich exceeds your expectations by providing excellent service that only comes from the Swiss hotel schools and tradition. It is well-located, has (paid) parking, and the amenities are good.”

• 5 minute walk to the main train station, very nice hotel!
• Rooms are small

• The shower and bathrooms were excellent, with lots of clean towels, plus they supplied robes and slippers.
• They did not have a swimming pool or exercise room.

“Sofitel is close to the main train station in Zurich, just across the river and up the hill. The lobby is as described in the website. The suite was super nice, but super expensive. ”
