• It was convenient to the U-Bahn.
• The fixtures (drapes, sink, shower) needed constant repair during the stay.

“An adequate hotel for the price. However, ripped wallpaper, worn carpet, fixtures that needed constant repair all detracted from the experience. Although rated as four stars, I would call this a three star at best - Best Western in the US does as well. The staff was attentive so far as I saw them - they certainly responded courteously and quickly to my complaints about the repair issues.”

• The price was great. It was right next to the subway station.
• Too much street noise, and the AC was too loud. Furnishings need updating.

“I was thrilled with the price I got from Priceline. My room was located on the street over the service entrance and a bakery. Delivery trucks started arriving at 3am! The weird, makeshift AC unit they had was really loud. In short, I could not sleep well. Definitely try to get a room on the garden. The bed was awesome, though. This is definitely not 4-star. Maybe 3+. The Fitness Center only has 2 old treadmills and 2 OLD stationary bikes.”

• I liked the nearness to the subway stop.
• No AC.

“The room was very worn - lots of chipped porcelain in the bathroom, every desk and counter top was stained and swelled from water having been on it, and to top it off there was no AC in the room - no AC vents at all. I have stayed twice before and had nice rooms both times. The weather outside was in the 70's and the room was sweltering. I will not stay at this hotel again.”

“Located far from the center but just near the subway station which is 4 stops from Marianzplats. Quite place. 26 Eur per breakfast. Internet is 20 EUR a day.”

“Very pleasant staff in a hotel that needs updating. We got great info on what ticket to get for public transport ('9/day for family), which is needed as everything is a bit away from the hotel. We got our stay in the hotel car park as complimentary. The pricing structures need looking at -cooked breakfast at '24 per person?'18 per person for continental!”

• I hate this hotel; there is nothing I like about this hotel and would not recommend it even to my enemies.
• I wasted my money by staying here.

“During our trip to Munich. It is a stone throw away from the Renaissance. There is no air conditioning in this hotel. They have fans! We requested an extra bed and were told we would get one and then there was no-show! Munich Marriott has an awesome state of the art recreation facility (open to all patrons from 6 am to 11 pm; children included) in terms of a huge Swimming pool, hot-tub, a gorgeous steam room, a sauna room, tons of towels and toiletries”

“I arrived at this hotel after staying at the hotel at Salzburg. Though I understand different hotel of the same chain may have different quality, the differences between the two hotels I stayed were huge. The hotel at Munich is in serious need of updating, my hotel room actually has a fan placed in the center of the room when I walked in. When I arrived at 1 PM which is only two hours earlier than the official check-in time, the staff told me no room was available despite I am a premium member of Marriott, and yet the next day I found out the hotel was far from being full. When I asked her about interesting restaurant recommendations, she immediately pointed out I could dine at their hotel restaurant (if I am looking for the hotel restaurant then why would I need to ask). Overall, the experience with the hotel was mediocre at best, and the service was far from what I expected from a Marriott.”

“No street appeal but once you are inside the people are very helpful and facilities are fine. Waiter and hostess in restaurant were wonderful and food was good. Great access to Metro so perfect for tourists.”

• Very comfortable and affordable. I enjoyed the bar and restaurant very much. Excellent choice during my stay in Munich.
• I did not like the fact that when I requested one bed they said they were completely booked. Not true.

“The hotel is very convenient to and from the airport as well as to and from the city center. This was a very comfortable and friendly place to stay. I was disappointed in my room setup, however. I had two small beds when I wanted one larger bed. The staff lied to me at check in and said they were completely booked out. Really? Is that why the whole back of the hotel was completely blacked out? Interesting.”

• I have nothing negative to say this was a great experience!

“In all my travels this is the most comfortable hotel I have stayed in. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. A part of the hotel was under construction but this did not detract from the experience. The parking garage was great; the food served (dinner and breakfast) was excellent! The internet connection was great and Skype helped me save on the phone bill. The suite that I stayed in was very clean, relaxing and comfortable. The subway is very close and the neighborhood is quiet. I am returning to Munich in the spring and have asked my travel agent to book me at this hotel only!”

• Great staff, modern facility with good amenities.
• Needs minor work on decoration and refurbishment.

“Great hotel, modern and with great amenities, excellent value for money. The staff was amazingly friendly and I got a nice room on the club level. The hotel was very cooperative towards my request to get a late check-out. The experience was just right, nothing was missing to have spoiled my stay. One minor point, the hotel lobby, elevators and rooms show slight signs of aging and some minor refurbishment is needed. Overall, the star ranking is an excellent 3 star or a poor 4, which can be easily changed with few strokes of paint.”

• Even though I speak very little German. The staff was very understanding and spoke English with no attitude. They never made us feel uncomfortable.
• There wasn't anything I can say negative.

• Was really not walking distance from anything.

• Free upgrade to suite for a group of five: amazing!
• All hotel facilities are in dire need of repair.

“The hotel staffs were great, very friendly and professional. The location was a bit out of center but close to a lot of offices. Subway station right around the corner. The hotel would be really excellent except for its not so upscale restaurant and especially very run down interior. I spotted at least 10 items that really needed to be replaced immediately within the first hour of arrival at the hotel.”

“The staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was very clean and spacious. However the "business center" was a phone booth size room with one computer in it that cost 5 Euro per 15 minutes. Parking also cost 16 Euro per day.”

• It had the best bed I ever slept in.
• The location was ok but not very convenient to the city center. 2 subways and 20 minutes were required.

“The hotel was excellent however in Europe most hotels include breakfast. This hotel did not. At 24 euros per person per breakfast this cost offset the savings. It was an excellent buffet breakfast but not for 24 euros. Stay at the hotel but eat breakfast in town.”

• The staff was friendly that all we liked.
• Small rooms, no air conditioning in any room, plenty of mosquitoes in the room when we opened the onscreen windows to get fresh air.

“This hotel is rather a2.5 star has small rooms and no air conditioning makes it very hot in summer days. We were not able to get any sleep. Also they do not have any communicating rooms for family with kids that were hard.”

• Location close to U-Bahn station.
• The hotel could use an interior update - it's a bit dated.

“This hotel would compare with a Hampton Inn or the like in the States. My only complaint is that the hotel needs a refresh. Rated 4 stars also is the Marriott which is right around the corner and it has recently had a full update and as a result is a much nicer hotel. Still, the room was clean and plenty large, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good but the charge for it is a bit expensive unless you really eat a lot.”

• Overall cleanliness, good restaurant, workout facility.
• The breakfast was very expensive. I wish they had let me know ahead of time how much it was (21 euros!), so I could have looked for an alternative.

“A very nice hotel overall. The restaurant was very good, and the breakfast was spectacular (if very pricey). The staff was friendly and helpful, and I like the fact that the hotel had an exercise facility. The location was also very good, being a very short walk to the subway.”

• Nothing - it was delightful

• Large hotel with a nice courtyard and good restaurant.
• Not walking distance to attractions, but right at a U-Bahn stop.

“This is a really nice, quiet hotel built on a courtyard. All rooms have balconies and the restaurant is great. The U-Bahn (Subway) stops right at the door, but otherwise it really isn't walking distance to any of the main attractions. The U-Bahn ride isn't very long though. Overall, it was a great hotel.”

• Quiet hotel in nice location with easy access to U-bahn /downtown.
• No air conditioning and rooms were too small
