• Layout of room, balcony allowing fresh air and kitchenette.
• Ceiling on room needed attention hope it was not mold. View of construction site unappealing.

Having a door or window to open is good for people with allergies.”

• Close to I-91 exit, free parking and wired internet.
• TV was to the side of the head of bed, hard to view.

“I would not recommend this lower level room (081). A king bed with TV to side of head of bed, made for uncomfortable viewing no matter what side of bed you are on. For the price I have gotten hotels in the immediate Hartford area that were much nicer and better equipped.”

• Hotel staff was helpful and free airport parking.
• Ventilation system. Hot in the room!

“Since I only had to sleep there for a few hours it was fine. Beds were a little soft and not the best quality but looked new. The shuttle service to the airport is fantastic and you can leave your car there for free and they'll pick you up when you return. That's makes the stay worth it. Rooms have what you need. Can't really complain. Only major complaint is that it's too darn hot in the rooms and no way to cool down. I'd stay again if flying out of Hartford though.”

• Free shuttle to airport when I wanted, at 4 am!
• On floor with pool, some kids running around etc.

“What you'd expect, except for the very popular pool area being on the 2nd floor directly across the hall from guest rooms. They label it 1st floor, but it is indeed an elevator ride above ground level, which they label as zeroth floor.”

• It is not the easiest place to find.

• Comfortable, convenient.
• Full of very noisy kids.

“The hotel itself was great. There happened to be a large number of kids there at the time? Sports teams? and I listened to kids running and yelling in the halls (on the first and second floors. I was on the first floor) and doors banging from 4pm to 10pm, and then it resumed at 9 am. It was not peaceful, and I couldn't get near the pool- mobbed with kids. I know the hotel can't do a lot about this, but it could make for unhappy guests.”

• Difficult to find from airport, wasn't as near airport as expected.

“This hotel was clean, comfortable, and friendly. When we had difficulty locating it from the airport at approximately 1 a.m., we called the hotel and the staff stayed on the phone with us to direct us to the location. We appreciated this excellent service.”

• The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and fairly spacious.
• The mattress was too soft.

“This hotel was an unexpected delight! The room was very clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Though breakfast was not included in the price, it was nice to have it available in the lobby and it was reasonably priced. I will seek out a Marriott courtyard for my future travel.”

“I have never been dissatisfied with any Marriott. I was thrilled to get free wireless service on my laptop! My kids loved the pool. Everything was comfortable, clean and safe. I am very happy that they seem to welcome people with all kinds of disabilities.”

• Their beds are THE best
• Parking lot was well-lit but a bit scruffy

“This hotel is just off the BDL airport but is a quiet and well-kept '80's vintage property. Pub and restaurant on site, large exercise room. What I liked most were their beds, complete with down-like comforters, real pillows (not the foam things that other places force on you), and a great mattress. I slept very well there.”

• unbelievably comfortable mattresses, and tastefully decorated rooms

“I was very impressed with how clean and attractive this hotel was. Although it was located off a major highway, I heard no auto related noise. The beds were more comfortable than my pillow mattress at home. I would stay there again.”

• Right off the highway and very close to the airport - price was a great deal!
• Nothing - would stay there again anytime.

• The hotel was too far from the airport and the expected shuttle was not available. Very inconvenient.

• It was hard to get to. The directions I had to the hotel were not accurate.

• No direct line in the baggage area, yet Marriott and Fairfield were.

“It was a great stay and the warm out-of-the-oven cookies weren't back either. The USA today paper delivered to the room was super. Our flight was early but the coffee bar was supplied even though it was too early for the breakfast buffet.”

“Great hotel: good pool, good courtyard, clean, fairly new rooms. One caveat: the breakfast buffet does NOT come with the room. I am so used to free buffet set-ups in the hotels I stay at that I urged my party of six to dig in, only to find out breakfast costs more than $9 a person.”
