• The bed is a litter small for us, two queen-size bed should be best.

• They Valet park your car for you as well as bring your stuff up to your room for you so you dont have to worry about it!
• Nothing!

“This hotel was great! The staff was super friendly! My mom and I drove 9 hours to get there and thought we werent going to be able to check into the room till after we did everything we had planned to do that day. However, the front desk staff saw that we needed a nap and checked up into a room at 8am. The staff was super friendly the whole stay and whenever asked for directions, another blanket, or help, they were always helpful and friendly!”

• Large room, very clean and amenities to make a relaxing stat.
• Lobby is very small and not inventing.

“We found our stay to be a very pleasant. Our suite was large, very clean with a pleasant environment. Hotel is within walking distance to the major dc sites. Our only interaction with staff other than checking in and out was a very pleasant experience, with the receptionist going out of her way to accommodate our request and answer questions. We would stay here again.”

• I liked the large rooms.
• I didn't like the fact that I was not given the wake up call that I requested.

“I loss money. I wish I would've stayed at another hotel. I loss a contract because I did not wake up on time. I did not wake up on time because I was not given the wake up call that I requested the night before. It was bad enough that I had to wait 30 minutes to check in because the system was down. With the service I received, this was definitely a 2 star hotel.”

“The hotel charged me separately for my stay a double billing. When I brought this to their attention, they said it would go away, that it was just a hold on the account. It wasn't. It showed up within in a day as a full completed charge. When I brought this to their attention, they said they would fix it, instead they charged me again. Two charges which should never have occurred.”

• It is a nice residence Inn with lots of features. Good for a family.
• The room where I stayed has only one queen bed. It was better if there were two.

“The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from White house and near to a good number of restaurants. Rooms were clean and the staffs were very courteous and helpful. Our check in time was 4.00 pm but we were able to check in at 12.00 pm. The staffs were very courteous and friendly. The only concern we had was, there was only one queen bed. But there was also a pull on bed/sofa. Internet connection was available free for 15 minutes. Overall the hotel good.”

“Overall an excellent hotel, good location minutes from union station. Rooms were clean and well maintained, each room had kitchen and was properly stocked with utensils etc. Rooms were tastefully decorated. However internet was not wireless but was wired causing little discomfort and parking though was paid, I feel at this star rating parking should be free or little cheaper. Over all a great experience.”

• The rooms were large and I enjoyed the decor.
• The ice machine in my room did not work and there were not any in the hall.

“The hotels location was great. The rooms have a full kitchen. With CVS right next door, it makes it very easy to buy food to make your own meals. The breakfast buffet that was included with the room was excellent. It had a huge selection and the room seemed to be recently renovated. The hotel was very homey! We did not want to leave!”

“Clean friendly with a very competent staff. Upon arriving at 2 in the morning from a delayed air flight from Chicago to DC. The night manager while dealing with some booking inquiries from another traveler saw me. He recognized that I already had a room booked and asked me if I were the same person. In a manner of seconds he had pulled my room key and had me sign on the dotted line. All while still attending the other customer. I was in my hotel room in a matter of minutes. Excellent service.”

• The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable.
• We had to ask for towels two of the nights during our stay.

“The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The room was updated, clean and quiet. The free breakfast was great. There was a variety of food to choose from. This hotel is in a good location. It is within walking distance to many attractions and the metro. There is a fee for the valet parking. Whenever I needed the car, it was waiting for me. I would recommend this hotel. It was a great value.”

“The Residence Inn is in a good location, just 3 blocks from the McPherson square metro stop on the blue/orange lines, on a quiet stretch of Vermont ave. Rare for a city hotel, a pretty robust continental breakfast is included, but get there early, as seats and selection go fast. The room was spacious and clean. The mattress was fair, the linens were good quality. Overall a good, economical choice in the city.”

“If you can get a room on the Vermont Ave side of this hotel, it's a very attractive place with nice beds and comforts and friendly staff. The 14th St side rooms should be avoided at all costs. Also, check out the A/C system; my room's system hummed loudly.”

“M-W they have complimentary dinners which are much better than some may expect. Also the breakfasts are complete with scrambled eggs, sausage patties, flour tortilla, homemade waffles, and much more! I was a traveler on a budget, and this hotel was 110% perfect for me. Also the free computer use in the business area was great and the location could not be beat for walking to the Mall.”

• Good within the price selected, convenient location, pretty good staff.
• The Valet parking was pretty pricy and a bit weird.

“Great place to stay if your demands are not too many. Convenient to most locations down time. Lack of concierge or staff knowledgeable of surrounding tourist area can be improved upon. Valet parking is something they can definitely work upon. Even if I park my car at 11:45 PM, I would still end up having to pay for the whole day and that too $20 a day. As against $12 per day just one block away. The folks in the dining room were really cool. They took good care of my family requirements; however their dinner is pretty pathetic. But all in all pretty good experience.”

• Vending machine was not stocked; someone took coffeepot out of room.

• One night it took about an hour to get a roll away.

• The complimentary hot buffet area was too small to accommodate all the hotel guests.

“The hotel is an all suite hotel with spacious rooms. The hotel was recently renovated within the last year, so all the rooms look new. Each room has only one queen size bed, and a queen size sofa bed. The bathroom amenities were from Bath and Body Works, which is a first for me and nice.”

• Lovely place. Brand new. Kitchenette in room. Shopping and metro near by. Sites within walking distance.
• That I could not stay longer!

Close to attractions, close to metro, kitchen in room (fully stocked with dishes, pans, and even dishwasher with soap) lovely buffet breakfast and some evening meals free). Staff excellent with all requests. Grocery store nearby, or staff would get your shopping list for only the charge of list.”

“The hotel is conveniently located to a lot of places including nice restaurants, bars and a whole foods store and has a nice kitchen set up with a refrigerator, microwave and stove. This is perfect for people who stay a while and like to buy their own food for diet or health reasons. However the kitchen takes up physical and visual space making the room feel tight. They have a complimentary breakfast which was edible. The staff is nice and courteous. Free internet was a nice bonus.”

• The business center did not have a/c and the key card didn¿t work.

“The staff killed the hotel. The receptionist was rude to us - had friends hanging at the lobby, with whom she was chatting while checking us in. At departure, my friend waiting for 35 minutes to get his car while other people were getting theirs.”

• There's subway close by.
• Subway requires transfer to go to down town. Not walking distance (20 min).

“Staff told us only 10 minute to go to down town, theater area. Took us a good 20-25 minutes instead. The room's nice but general public area there's no sitting area but that's okay be our studio suite has sofa and it feels comfortable. Great shampoo, lotion (bath and body works). The breakfast was excellent. 3 waffle maker machines.”

• The bathroom is clean, we have a small kitchen, and the breakfast is good.
• The room is so small; we have 2 adults and 2 children, but only 1 queen size bed in it, no extra room for adding another bed.

“I booked 2 nights, but I only stay one night, because we have only one bed for 2 adults and 2 children. I was told that they can add another bed for us, but until 9:00 pm, still nobody comes to send it. When I ask the front desk again, I was told that our room is too small for another bed; they have to call security guy come to check it. Yes, the room is really small.”
