- I had to request house keeping service twice. I do not like returning to an un-made room.

- It took extremely long to get hot water for a shower.

- The hotel was clean and everyone was very friendly. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice and great to come back to after a long day of sightseeing.
- This hotel did not have a continental breakfast included, any microwave or small refrigerator.
“The hotel is centrally located for sightseeing. The re is a bus stop for the open top tour bus in front of the hotel which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend the Marriott at metro center to friends and family. The only thing I did not like was it did not provide a continental breakfast that most of the hotels we have stayed at do, and there was no microwave or little refrigerator in the room which is especially needed when traveling with children.”

- The valet staff was great. The front desk was also great. The staff in regattas seemed preoccupied with other things.
- Paying $6 for a draft beer is a little high even for dc.
“The hotel was great and I will stay there again. The location is great being in the heart of downtown. The valet staff was very friendly and helpful. They should be moved around the hotel to let the rest of the staff know how to smile and greet a guest. I was disappointed to walk into a relatively empty bar to have a drink and look at the menu for later and the staff seemed to be too busy with other things rather than dealing with the guest. The man that walked in after me was sitting for about 3 minutes before the guy behind the bar 4 feet away even acknowledged him. That would have made me walk out if it were me.”

- The bellman and parking attendants and the location.
- No fridge or microwave and heard trucks beeping all night, no sleep.
“I called 3 times prior to arrival (one a few hours ahead of time) to be sure we had 2 double beds. We were assured we did. Once we checked in (with 2 young children) we were told the doubles were gone and had to fight to get them. In consequence, we were placed in a room that was above the dumpsters and looked out into the alley. All night trucks were making deliveries and were using the reverse because we could hear the beeps. Also, others were arriving all night and we could hear them in the hallway. Very little sleep could not make up for the beautiful lobby and plush beds. The bellman and the parking attendants were excellent. There was not refrigerator or microwave in the room which was tough with the kids, but the location was good for walking to the convention center or the monuments. Both were 10 minute walks. I did see homeless men and women at the corner from the hotel, but that is to be expected in large cities in downtown areas.”

- The staff was extremely courteous at all levels. Very friendly.
- I wish I could have stayed another night at the same cost.
“The Metro Center Marriott is conveniently located for easy transportation access and Washington D.C. attractions. This is a quality establishment that shows its philosophy of customer service throughout all levels of staff throughout the hotel. My impression is that the hotel management is superior and that the staff enjoys working there. From the maids to the concierge, all were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and attractive and met my expectations for a 3 star establishment. I would definitely stay there again.”

- The entire staff was very attentive, friendly and efficient. Everyone from check in, concierge, gift shop, coffee shop were extremely friendly.
- Received one iced coffee from coffee shop and tasted burnt.
“I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very accommodating, friendly staff, punctual valet. The location was fantastic. I walked to everything; never saw the inside of the metro. Walk to the best seafood restaurant in DC from this hotel, the Oceanaire is a short 1-1/2 blocks away - definitely eat there.”

- I was treated like a Queen. I tipped double what I usually would do.
“If you plan to visit DC and see all the historic sites, this spot is the pulse of the city. The Metro exit and entrance are on the corner of the hotel and from the Metro you can get anywhere in 15 min. or 5 min. Tourist attractions and shopping and more shopping are within easy reach.”

- Location of this hotel is good for business or tourist travel in the DC area.
- Parking in the hotel was overpriced.
“This was a good hotel choice for us. Location was good and it was fairly easy to get around in the tourist areas. The price of parking was a bit high and then that whole big city got a tip everyone who breathes in your direction thing gets a bit old. Overall it was fine.”

- I usually enjoy Marriot hotel. I enjoyed that we were in a very convenient area in D.C.
- It was very hard to get the bellman. Also, their telephone customer service needs to be a bit more friendly and helpful.
“The Marriott was pretty nice. I have always enjoyed staying in the Marriot hotel and this was no different.”

- Staff was exceptional.
- Noise at night from other guests.

“Convenient to Metro, the hotel is beautiful, convenient to sights, sounds and restaurants. It is a romantic hotel with a courteous staff.”

- The beds! The breakfast buffet was excellent!
- We were not offered help with the bags and we had two senior citizens with us.
“We loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms were so very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel.”

- It was convenient to seeing all the sights.
- They only offered valet parking @ $27.00 per day. There was no other parking available.
“The hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. The concierge was rude and not helpful at all. I didn't like that my only option was to Valet park my car. If I wanted something from my car, they had to bring it up for me, I found this very inconvenient. I think if they will not provide parking, then the cost should be less, not $27 per day. They also charged me for my local calls, which they didn't inform me of before hand, I called two blocks away to make dinner reservations. The pool was nice for the kids. I felt like I was not treated as well as the other patrons.”
