• The room was not very clean dirty coffee cups.

“Nice, bright lobby, friendly staff, nice size room but the restaurant/bar and room service closed at midnight also the in room coffee pot had not been cleaned and the coffee cup had dried on residue looked like someone used it for soup.”

• I have never stayed in a hotel with a more comfortable and clean room and bed.
• I wish the hotel was a few blocks closer to the museums.

“The room was immaculate, the bed was luxurious, the staff was excellent! There was a warm indoor pool and Jacuzzi next to the workout room (just another plus). The staff catered to our every need.”

• My room was extremely clean, almost like new, which is of the highest priority whenever I am traveling.
• The parking rates were ridiculous.

“If cleanliness is super important to you, this is the hotel for you. My room was great. With shopping directly across the street. Better valet parking rates, the rates were outrageously high. Find cheaper parking and spend that money shopping.”

• One coin-operated washer and dryer for the entire hotel.

“Clean, but not deluxe accommodations. No microwave, no coffeemaker and only one coin-operated washer and dryer for the entire hotel, hidden in the exercise room. Wireless Internet is not free. Few restaurants within walking distance, but right next to the Convention Center if that's important to you.”

• The restaurant staff/food/service was not super and was the only meal we had on our trip, so it was extra disappointing.

“I've never had such a friendly group of employees tend to my needs. Everything was done with a smile (with the restaurant as an exception).”

• The parking fee is quite expensive.

“The location is super. Close to Chinatown (2 blocks always) and other restaurants. All the attractions are within walking distance. It is clean, tidy and elegant. Good service, high standard. The front desk is very friendly.”

“It was a nice hotel for those comfortable with traveling on the metro. It was close to many attractions on foot as well. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends and will probably try to stay here again on another trip to D.C.”

• Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet comfortable well-appointed rooms.
• The internet service was very slow, thought it was ostensive broadband, it functioned more like dialup. No WiFi that I could find anyway.

“Conveniently located on top of the Metro center station, this Marriott provides the room standard and level of service one would expect of a world class hotel. The concierge was always polite, available and extremely helpful. This was my third stay at this hotel, and I've consistently been impressed. It represents great value for money.”

• They have a Jacuzzi open until midnight for our sure, achey muscles from walking around the Smithsonian all day.
• Could be quieter, but we are in the middle of a metropolis.

“This hotel should be rated a 4-star hotel, not a 3. We enjoyed our stay so much that it felt like home. We had moved to another hotel to join family after staying at the Marriott DC for 5 days, and we would've gladly gone back if we could without losing our money.”

• I liked that this hotel offered an unlimited wireless package for phone/internet services.
• I did not like that there were no mini-fridge or microwave in the room.

“The hotel is centrally located in DC and very convenient to the metro, food, tourist attractions. The room provides for all basic needs and staff is courteous. The room was a little musty at first but not overwhelmingly so.”

• We had no complaints. Whole experience excellent.

• The raw bar was a great place to unwind.
• Porters weren't as thorough as we would have liked.

“In a great spot close to the White House and right above a Metro stop, the Marriott Metro is friendly, modern and well set-up with gym facilities and an indoor pool for relaxing. The in-house bar is low-key and casual. Great for business travelers.”

“This is a lovely hotel very convenient to a central metro stop. The room was very comfortable and a free fridge was available. I called housekeeping at 9:30 am to be certain my room was serviced before 12:30. They assured me it would be done. I returned at 12:30 and the room wasn't serviced.”

• I did not like that the bathroom had no fan, very stuffy when you get out of the shower. Had to open the door to dress.

• No biggie, but TV was small and difficult to see while lying in bed, too low.

• The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel was very clean also.
• The walls are paper thin and I could hear everything in all the surrounding rooms/hallways.

“The hotel was very clean, convenient to all the DC attractions, and the staff including the valet were very friendly and attentive. The only real issue for us was that the walls were very thin and we could hear everything going on around us in the rooms next to us and a lot of commotion (i.e. kids running and yelling in the hallways, doors slamming, etc.). Looking past that I would be happy to stay again at this hotel.”

• The staff were absolutely friendly, professional and helpful.
• That there was no refrigerator as in Australia every hotel has a fridge even 2 stars.

“Clean, elegant, courteous staff, helpful staff members and delightful rooms. I just wish they had a microwave and fridge. I guess I'm not used to hotels that do not provide these basic requirements as in Australia Every hotel has them. But despite that I enjoyed my stay immensely. Thank you very much.”

• The concierge was a very knowledgeable woman who was extremely helpful and friendly.
• I never found out if there was a free continental breakfast available. There was nothing in writing to say there was.

• The location was excellent and nice room size and very comfortable beds.
• No exhaust fan in bathroom, could hear noise from hallway.

“This hotel is in the heart of Downtown D.C. with access to the Metro right outside the front door. It is centrally located and within walking distance to many major sightseeing areas such as the National Mall. The rooms are very generous in size and the down comforter and bedding are extremely comfortable. There are no views of D.C. from the room and some equipped with a refrigerator. Every morning there are red and green apples at the front desk and in the evening a glass jar full of assorted chocolate candies. The health club is very nice and headphone with new ear pads are available free of charge to hook up to the individual televisions on the cardio equipment. There is also an indoor pool. All in all this is a very comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay when visiting our Nation's capital.”

• The hotel staff were super friendly and beyond helpful. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated.
• There was nothing that my son and I did not like.

“The hotel is worth more than the 3-star rating that it is given. Accommodations and service were excellent. The experience was a dream for my son and I. We cannot wait to go back. Marriott is a name synonymous with excellence.”
