- Parking, location, room too small, bathroom very small, room smelled of cleaner.
“The rooms were small and smelled of cleaner. Bathroom was very small. The TV remote didn't work properly and the selection of channels was minimal. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.”

- There was no problem to settle down fast.
- Water bottle cost 5 dollars and there was no fridge in the room.
“Hotel is a long walk from subway, drinking water should be priced low, fridge may be provided, bath room is bit too tight, there is not much room between chair at the desk and the bed to move, TV movies cost too much, overall good experience.”

- Bed was comfy and got a cookie every night.
- Bathroom was clean but never felt sanitized.
“Hotel is in a nice location for travelers. Less than a $10 cab ride to Washington Monument and other local attractions. AC was cold, beds were nice and the business center was convenient. I didn't try the restaurant, but just ask the front desk for a fresh chocolate chip cookie every night. I would stay here again next time I am in D.C.”

- This hotel is a short walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station and Cosi's Restaurant.
- This hotel has only valet parking. It is quite a walk to most sightseeing. Near Financial District. On site restaurant is pricey.
“The room was nicely appointed, clean and well organized. However, the bathroom was narrow and claustrophobic. The computer access for guests was nice - but painfully slow. Valet parking and cab rides were easily accessible. There are few restaurants close and the one in the hotel is expensive. Take a walk to Dupont Circle for more options or ride Metro form there to anywhere. I recommend Old Ebbets Grill! Yum!”

“The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay. Nevertheless, it did not interrupt our stay at all. Due to the location in downtown DC, the rooms are smaller, as are the bathrooms. The internet is provided at the charge of $10.00 per computer, per room. Overall, good experience.”

- They gave out cookies on your arrival and that was friendly.
- We asked for a refrigerator for medical reasons and it was not available upon check in and then they charged us $15 for its use.
“They charged for use of a refrigerator for medical necessity. I have never been charged before even in the Capital Hill Hilton for that. The ceiling light fixture cover was missing exposing the light bulbs. There was no pool this was not up to Hilton standards even though it was advertised as part of the Hilton chain. The staff were not able to answer simple questions about directions to certain places or transportation sites. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

- They let us park our car there and held our bags for the whole day after we checked out.
- We had to pay $28.00 for parking.
“It was really too far from most of the monuments and we had to take a taxi. The staff was very nice but we had to tip too many 'helpful' people. The room was small but nice no fridge though. Loved the cookie! It smelled nice in our room other floors reeked of smoked!”

- Close to Subway station, very safe area (Embassy row), close to stores and restaurant.
- Broken bathroom door handle. The bottled water provided in the bathroom is not free ($5.00 per bottle). No parking, only valet parking ($30.00).
“Very clean and friendly staff. Very close to the Dupont Circle Subway station (3 blocks). Also close to a CVS drug store (2 blocks), a Whole Food grocery store (2 blocks), book stores (3-4 blocks) and many restaurants (4-5 blocks).”

- The hotel is not conveniently located near the metro.
“This hotel is great, but expect to walk around 4-.5 miles to the nearest metro. If you are looking to travel a lot by metro, I would not recommend this hotel. However if you are mainly touring the white house/downtown area, this hotel is perfect for you. As with most D.C. hotels, this hotel is very clean and luxurious.”

- Poor quality room service, all electric outlets in the room were broken!
“I had higher expectations of Doubletree Hotel, since it is a Hilton Hotel. However, this Doubletree appeared of lesser quality. The rooms were older, electric outlets broken, our coffee maker was also broken, but was replaced on request. It just appeared that there was less attention to quality, in this hotel. However, the hotel front desk staff was very gracious and helpful.”

- I liked the cookies.
- The bathroom was clean but real small.
“This was a great hotel that was near everything. It was clean and the staff real nice and helpful. I really liked the free cookies. The smell of fresh baked cookies gave the hotel a homey feeling.”

- Bed was comfortable, AC worked well, cookies were good.
- Staff not knowledgeable, no pool onsite, few channels, no family friendly menu, pay for water, pay for WiFi.
“Overall, this is a nice hotel as far as room & lobby decor. The staff wasn't able to provide complete, accurate information regarding menu, directions, ticket sales, providing replacement newspaper, etc. The management staff was very helpful and accommodating. This hotel is definitely not family friendly. Also, not great for business travelers as in-room WiFi is extra. The cookies were good, but it would have been great if they were provided every evening. The huge valet parking fee was unexpected and unwarranted.”

- Very comfortable with a central location.
- No shuttle service at all.

- The location and staff was great, loved the warm cookie.
- My original room had roaches, the bathroom didn't have a fan.
“The hotel had a great location and looked very nice. The staff was helpful. The restaurant prices were a little high for eggs and hash browns. The bathrooms are kind of cramped with no fan. The hotel was clean and the room didn't smell dusty. The beds were super comfortable and the pillows were great.”
